6MM ARC Help !!

Fellow Hide Members,

I have built a 6mm ARC And running into a little problem. My build is a 20in proof with a radian Mod 1 builders kit, Aero Precision Gas block adjustable.

1. When the bolt is back in the locked position, and I push bolt release it chambers into battery correctly.

2. I fire a round (no noticeable damage on brass) and bolt cycles but does not pick up next round, the mag is a duramag 10 rd by c products, (6.5 Grendel)
Ejection pattern is at the 3:00-4:30 mark.

3. Gas system is at full value, all way open.

Any Ideas/ experience with this problem and how to get this to run more than one round without manual intervention would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

Condition:

Overall the rifle is in excellent condition. I've been able to repeatedly shoot at 1000-1150 yards with 147gr ELD-Ms without issue. (It also loves 140s, 142s, 144s, etc.)

There is some minor wear marks on the chassis here and there. The only ACTUAL marks are on the NV Bridge where the Elite Iron bipod took off two small circles of cerakote on the rail.

Trades:

Mostly, I'm looking for a thermal weapon sight, preferably a clip-on.

Note:

The Vision Chassis is insanely adjustable... the rifle will fit everyone without issue. Well, maybe not @Lowlight! ;)

It has 527 rounds on it and the bore is flawless.

Liberals nearly 600% more likely to have mental health issues than Conservatives.

I have a longtime acquaintance who is a “genetic psychology” professor at one of the most prestigious universities in the world. We were chatting about various things (prompted by the inauguration, and I’m sure you can guess his personal persuation on that subject) when he went into that they recently concluded a long-term study that included political identity/affiliation, sexual orientation, gender identity, etc amongst other criteria in the study that affects mental health.

Now comes the FUN part! The “University” is REFUSING to officially publish the results of the study because it literally TRIGGERED the entire staff, students involved (all postgrads), and they are “justifiably concerned that the current administration and Far-Right will weaponize their study for propaganda purposes against marginalized groups…”

The salient findings (none of which are the least bit surprising):

Liberals / Progressives / Socialists / Communists are 600% / 6 TIMES more likely to suffer “significant, chronic or non-trivial mental health issues requiring long term medical intervention” than Conservatives / Capitalists.

It only gets worse from there.

Atheists are over 400% more likely to commit suicide / suffer mental health issues requiring treatment than non-Atheists.

Homosexuals are over 700% more likely than heterosexuals.

The newfound Woke Religion of “Transgenderism” is where the rubber really meets the road. Those suffering from the mental health disorder of “Trans-anything” are 1400% — 14 TIMES — more likely to not only require significant mental health treatment, but they have an alarming tendency to have violent physical outbursts against themselves or others and are potentially more likely to engage in violence against perceived enemies.

They’re burying the WHOLE thing. Supposedly the study was partially funded by a CDC grant.

Custom Action Weights

Looking to put together a new western hunting rifle and I’m trying to save a little weight over some of my current rifles. Primarily looking at the anTi X and Nanook, but open to other options. If you have experience with those or any other lightweight option I’d love to hear your opinions.

What I’m struggling to do is compare the weight to my other actions (I have 4 built of Zermatt Origins) and there seems to be a lot of variance on listed weights for the Origin. I see it listed at 28oz on some sites, 31oz on others, I even saw it listed at 50oz on one website which doesn’t seem right. The only thing I can think of is maybe some of those weights are without the rail and lug and other weights include those. If anyone could give me their own measured weight including the rail and lug I’d really appreciate it.

I know this isn’t terribly important because I’m saving weight either way, I’m just trying to get a comparison to see how much weight I’ll save vs the money invested into a completely new rifle. I just see the listed weight for a “lightweight” action like the NBK being heavier than the chunky Origin and it just doesn’t add up in my head.

Here’s what I’m thinking for the build as of right now.
-Lightweight LA action
-20-22” 7PRC carbon barrel, probably Bartlein or Proof
-MDT HNT26 folder or XLR Element Mg
-Leupold VX5 3-15x

Any recommendations for other parts to shave a little weight or personal endorsement of the things I listed are appreciated.

Question about carbine length vs mid length

Assume all else the same - you have 2 uppers, one is carbine length gas system, one is mid length, 16 inch barrels in 5.56.

If you wanted to use one on a close quarters AR build with a red dot, and one on more of a medium distance range toy with an LPVO, would you have any preference as to which rifle got which upper? Either one perform any better for longer distances vs close quarters?
