Suppressors 338 ultra on 338 ARC/300blk?

But if a stretch here, but has another compare the TBAC ultra gen 1 vs gen 2 or other common 30 cal can on subsonic 300 bill or 338 arc?

I currently have a gen 1 338 ultra SR. It’s a great can on my 300NM and from what I’ve read online with this caliber only about 1 db louder than the gen 2 so I don’t feel like I’m missing out at all for that application. However I see the gen 1 sucks on smaller calibers like 308 and 6.5 compared to the gen 2.

I was curious if anyone tried these two can on a subsonic caliber as I know the flow dynamics and suppressor designs are very different between supersonic and subsonic loads. My primary interest would be building a 338 ARC or using on my current 300 blackout rifles to make the as quiet as humanely possible with low back pressure. And even if they are quieter vs something like a silencerco omega/36m or similar industry 30 cal or 338/357 can, is it significant to the point you’d pay the weight and length penalty?

My understanding is subsonic cans like lots of baffles whereas supersonic cans like fewer larger baffle spacing. Never seen a cross section of a gen 1 vs gen 2 to compare.

Zuckerweeniesteinbergowitz whiney little bitch speech...

In case folks have not watched Zuckerberg's little whine from yesterday... where he is talking about how sorry he is that "The Government Forced Him to Censor people"... after having a track record of political activism, suppressing speech, hiding Hunters Laptop, kicking conservatives off, covering up vaccine damage, giving a half billion dollars to Joe Biden... grooming children, trading child porn, selling Glock Switches and burglary tools and solvent traps... you name it. His Pravda commies have done it.. .

Now suddenly after his tail-between-his fag legs visit to Mar-A-Lago... he is Mr. Free Speech. Even said "We will be more like X." Admitting, basically, to treason and massive Civil Liberties violations.

Well fuck him. What a little bitch.

Here is the best news... his little video speech (I won't subject you to his little bitch-video... look it up if you want) is a straight-up admission that he and his company are guilty of massive criminal and civil violations.

So c'mon lawyers! Let's get some huge civil action suits going! I had dozens of bans and an account removed from Fakebook due to BS fact checkers (Posting a dishwasher meme got me kicked off and my 8 year-old account removed.) I'll join a class action law suit in a second for whatever civil rights violations the lawyers can come up with... and claim personal damages in lost communications, stripping away a years-long network of friends and acquaintences... etc. Come on lawyers! Zuck just admitted it ALL on his little video.

And new Congress.... he just admitted to interfering with elections. And to suppressing massive vaccine deaths AND the fact that clot shots were dangerous... while hyping... hypodermics.

Bring it on. Put Zuckerberg first in the poor house. Then in jail! Supermax. He is responsible for thousands of deaths... maybe millions long-term. Zuckerberg. Personally. Not his fact checkers. Not his minions. Him.

I know... probably ASGH... but since he just admitted to it. Shit could happen really easily!

Looking to order some match brass for my new .308 rifle, didn't see a lot of discussion on this in one place, thought I'd make a poll. Now I'm not asking what's the hands down best end all be all brass, I'm asking whats YOUR favorite brass, feel free to elaborate as to why, cost is a factor for many people, including myself, however if the improvement is worth it, it's worth it, if it's questionable, eh... That's the way I tend to think anyway but I'm not participating in the poll you are, so what is it and why?

Obviously just in doing my digging it seemed that small rifle primer brass is the way to go for many firings as well as lower extreme spreads so I didn't bother to list a LRP option, if your favorite is a LRP then just select other and post what it is.

Thank you to all who participate.

ETA: The poll will close after 90 days. You may select two options, but you don't have too.

HORROR: Two Dead Bodies Discovered On Plane at a Florida Airport!

Airline officials made a shocking discovery Monday evening that could raise more questions regarding aviation safety in America.
As The Daily Mail reported, JetBlue airline officials found two people deceased in the landing compartment of a plane that had landed at the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood Airport in Florida. The aircraft departed JFK Airport before arriving in the Sunshine State.
According to flightaware.com, the aircraft appears to be Flight 1801 from New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport, which arrived in Fort Lauderdale just moments after 11 p.m.
JetBlue explained to The Daily Mail that the dead individuals on the flight were discovered during a post-flight maintenance check inside the JetBlue plane’s landing gear. Airline officials are investigating how the bodies got there.
“This is a heartbreaking situation, and we are committed to working closely with authorities to support their efforts to understand how this occurred,” an airline spokesperson told the New York Post.
The Daily Mail also reported Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies and medical examiners were seen outside the airport. Spokesperson Carey Codd told DailyMail.com that both victims were pronounced deceased at the scene.
Both of the deceased are male but have not been released yet. Officials are working to determine how the bodies ended up in the landing gear.
Medical examiners are also working to determine a cause of death.
Operations at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood Airport are continuing without any alterations despite the tragic deaths.
This tragic news also brings to mind a similar incident on New Year’s Eve in Hawaii. As The Gateway Pundit reported, the body of an unidentified dead male was discovered in the wheel well of an airplane at Kahului Airport in Maui that day.
The body still has not been identified even after several days.

Introducing the AI Obsession Chassis

Some of you may remember a few years ago I drew a concept for an "AIAC" competition chassis for the current AI rifle platform. Nothing ever really came from that outside of some good conversation between fellow AI fans and competition rifle shooters. That concept has been a bug in my brain since then, and a few months ago I decided to make it a reality, taking into account current design trends and the overall design language of AI rifles in general.

Shown here is the final plastic 3D printed prototype of my 100% self-designed Obsession Chassis. The next real step is to complete the drawings and get one of these machined for testing. I'm not entirely sure where I will get one machined, and I know one-offs are very expensive, but I need to test an aluminum version before I would ever consider making more and offering them to other shooters.

7041300

My path to get this functional prototype was to reverse-engineer both an AT chassis and an AX chassis. Once I put those in CAD, I 3D printed the "bottom metal" to verify the dimensions, fit and function. Then I designed my chassis around the bottom metal and arrived at what I believe is the perfect AI rifle for competition-oriented shooters.

In order to do this I had to de-bond my factory AX. Doing that really de-mystified the bonded action interface, and opened my eyes to the possibility of some cool options for the chassis. The design intent of this chassis is to be epoxied to the action - just like the factory rifles are. I think that there is some magic in the bonded action, and didn't want to shoehorn something around it like the MPA chassis does with the AT. This chassis is designed to be completely functional when bonded to the action, and the accessories are designed around it. That being said, if bonded it will only work with the current generation of rifles that have the Quick-Loc barrel change system.

The feature list is long, and I think it encompasses almost anything a match shooter would be looking for:
  • Single piece of machined aluminum (either 6061-T6 or 7075-T6)
  • Compatible with AT and AX short actions, ambidextrous for either RH or LH
  • Compatible with either AT or AX buttstock, fixed or folder (including thumb hole skins ?)
  • Uses AW magazines and AT mag catch lever (AX mag catch lever is different and will not work)
  • Generously flared mag well for easy magazine insertion and removal
  • 12.75" forend (measured from action face)
  • Forend length ensures the user can screw/unscrew a barrel as short as 16". A longer forend is certainly possible, but would increase the minimum barrel length.
  • Integrated full-length RRS-dovetail
  • M-Lok standard mounting interface on sides and bottom
  • Proprietary dovetail-stop screw system
  • Barrel channel and accessories allow 1.25" dia. straight-taper barrel with 0.050" minimum clearance per side
  • Integrated non-rotating flush cup mount on both sides.
I also designed accessories to accompany the chassis, for an integrated system.
  • Bipod spigot bolts directly to chassis, and adds 3" of length in addition to being 1/2" closer to the bore-axis. Spigot has an M-Lok attachment point for easy mounting of 3 or 5-slot picatinny rail.
  • Internal weight system allows the user to add up to 1.25# of weight, without interfering with the M-Lok mounts or barrel clearance.
  • NV bridge allows user to wrap "thumb over bore," and has mounting points for picatinny rails or other attachments. NV bridge can be positioned front to back via the side screw holes, and the orientation of the bridge itself can be flipped depending on user preference.
I hope you guys think this design exercise has merit - I've definitely put in a lot of late (LATE) nights working on this, and I honestly feel that this has been a culmination of many of the ideas floating around in my head. I understand this chassis won't be for everyone, since many won't want to de-bond their action and even more won't want to spend additional money over the AT, which is an admittedly awesome rifle. I'll definitely keep you all posted as I pursue getting one machined. If you have any questions (or own a CNC!) let me know!

Someone here needs to hear this-

We've moved past the holidays and for some that in itself might be a personal accomplishment. I just wanted to take a quick moment to say- you have tremendous value to so many people. It's easy to lose sight of that but important to hear it every now and then.

I went to a local AHL hockey game tonight- A buddy of mine for over 20 years & I decided to get season tickets for our first time. My buddy and I couldn't be any more different in our life paths but we've always been friends despite such. It's a little wild how things work out, and I'll spare you the details, but a good friend is worth their weight in gold and all that's needed is a certain level of compassion looking out for one another.

On the AHL comment- the seats next to ours include an Air National Guardsman and his (eldest) brother out of 8 children. The eldest brother has some special needs and we've come to become fast friends with them. Tonight we were talking about our history in enjoying the game and came to find out that this one brother has purchased season tickets for the past 10 years for him & his eldest brother (something about the game calms him) and that's just 'their' thing. You wouldn't pick up on it immediately but that's a person that has made a tremendous impact on an other's life and done so without any selfish ambitions. I think we can all learn a little bit from that.

The other side of that coin is he doesn't think he's done anything particularly special- just trying to be a good person is all. I'm sure that many here may feel the the same way, never asking for anything and also not understanding the impact that they impart on other people's lives each and every day.

So I just wanted to take a moment to point out that we all impart value and in one way or another are quite literally changing the world every day whether we recognize it or not. The burden of walking such a path is never knowing how much you impact an another person's life just by being there.

So TL/DR- your efforts to be a good person are not lost on your loved ones and you bring value each and every day to them whether you realize it or not. Give yourself a little bit of grace and acknowledge that you aren't perfect by your own assessment but you likely mean the absolute world to far more people than you believe.

That's the paradox, you might feel like a complete 'zero' but only later find out that you're an absolute 'hero' to all the family & friends you hold dear just by being there for them.

SOLD Lefty MPA ultra lite chassis

Selling my MPA ultra lite chassis in burnt bronze. Fits LH 700 SA.

A few small scrapes on the arca from a bipod. See photos. Otherwise in excellent condition. I just prefer a stock over a chassis. Has a few nice features too. Integrated level and adjustable mag catch. I just can't get used to a chassis.

Originally came with an A2 grip but I put a vertical ergo grip on it to try to make it more comfortable. Ergo grip comes with it.

I don't have action screws but it does have the MPA lug locking parts still in it.

$650 shipped. PayPal F&f or Venmo gift.

NO TRADES.
