Has anyone here trained at Rifles Only? I’m into precision shooting and have been practicing on my own because I want to participate in PRS competitions. One of my friends keeps recommending that I take a formal training course. He took his at K&M Shooting Complex in Tennessee, but it’s too far for me. I live in Houston, so I’m considering Rifles Only down in Kingsville, Texas. The price seems reasonable, and it’s not too far, so I think it’s worth checking out.

Has anyone here taken their Precision Rifle Course I & II? What’s your opinion? It seems pretty popular—they’ve got a lot of podcasts and some good reviews. Would love to hear your thoughts!

Decided to inventory the gun safes and document all of my guns and scopes. Put a replacement value on it and the number surprised me. I guess when you get tired of one and don’t move them on you accumulate more than you would think.

Our homeowners insurance will only let us put a rider up to $10000 without and inventory including serial numbers.

I am ordering a custom barrel for my 6.5 Creedmoor. I will be shooting Berger 153.5 long range hybrid target bullets most of the time, and 140’s once in a while. My question is - what would be the optimum twist? 7 1/2? 7?.

Forster full length sizing die and ultra micrometer bullet seater. The decapping stem on the sizing die is broken on the end, but the expander ball is intact and functional. You can replace the decapping assembly for $15 through Forster. The seating die is like new.

So while I originally was ready to move with a Tikka, (thanks again to all who offered advice) I stumbled across this deal yesterday. I planned on dropping it into a KRG and finding a good scope. It's going to be a little over my budget but it will slowly come together. I read about the Osprey barrel on their website but does anyone know how big a difference there is between that and the OEM barrel? Specs on the tube are 24" and MTU profile. Also run a can on it. I’m not sure where my grandpa (born in 1901) got it, or if he made it, but it came to me when he passed in 1989. I’ve never used it, nor have I seen it used, but it’s still shaving sharp. No clue what kind of metal but it attracts a magnet.

Nine inches overall, with a 5 in blade.



The handle seems to be wrapped in some sort of plastic wrap. I thought it was plastic-wrapped wire but it’s not heavy enough for wire, and it doesn’t attract a magnet.





The sheath has a metal liner in what appears to be some sort of rubber-lined hose material.






No idea how old it is. The phrase “Try it you’ll like it” was popularized in 1971 as part of an Alka-Seltzer ad campaign but he could have written it later. Looks pretty wicked.
