I’m using Talley piccatiny base and Vortex pro rings why do they not fit tight I can move the rings in the base considerably

Aside from esthetics and weight, is there any different between the carbon and standard shell? Is the carbon noticeably stiffer if at all?

Looking to pull the trigger on a manners build in the next 2 weeks and trying to sort out this option.

If it matters it will be a t2a gap non mini chassis and no arca. Will be used for some prs style matches and general hunting/field gun.

Recently completed A6/CAG Surgeon CSR clone. Got this unicorn a couple of months ago and the reality is I still dont know whether it is an early Remington RACS (prototype or whatnot) or a Surgeon CSR chassis. Anyways here it is, tell me what would you've done differently if it was yours. I know the scope and mount arent exactly the ones used by either CAG or A6 but these are the ones I could find in the meantime.

Hi All

To preface - I'm fairly new to reloading, and have so far successfully reloaded for my .38 Lever Action only.

I am looking to start reloading for my Tikka T3x Tac A1, 24 inch Barrel.

The components I have so far are:
- Powder: Vihtavuori N555
- Bullet Heads: Hornady 140gr ELD-M
- Cases: Lapua SRP
- Primers: ???
- Dies: ???

Does anyone have load data for this Bullet/Powder combo, as well as recommendations for Primers and Dies?
I'm looking for accuracy as best as possible, as far out to 1000 yards and beyond.
I've been unable to find anything for the Hornady 140gr ELD-M, however data for the 147gr is available.
Happy to swap out the Bullet heads if need be (Berger 140gr?) but will definitely want to be using up the 200 that I already have!

Any and all advice/tips will be welcome.
