Trigger pushing up on bolt

I have a new action (Remington 40x Ti and PTG bolt) that seems to be having an issue once I install a trigger.

Bolt close seems extremely rough when the trigger is installed, and it appears the bolt is being pushed upwards significantly. The rough feel is probably the bottom bolt lug against the receiver abutement.

I tried two different triggers and both exhibit this issue, although one slightly worse than the other. While functional, bolt close is quite rough and my fear is galling between steel bolt and titanium receiver.

Does anyone know of a solution? Would removing material from trigger disconnector help?

Yesterday I took a vet to the range

I work with a great guy that served and was injured in Afghanistan. He is quiet, easy going and a much younger than I am. Occasionally we talk about guns.

Told him I was going to the range to celebrate the 4th. Asked if he join me as a guest. Took a couple MP5 clones, Beretta 92’s and A2 AR.

After warming up, this guy could shoot. He enjoyed the Beretta, shot the smallest steel targets with the suppressed AP5 and then we went to the rifle range.

Old people cheat. I set up a rifle rest on the bench. Three inch steel hanging from chains would be shot until it wrapped around the beam holding the targets. He would then shoot it off the beam and start again. The barrel and ODB were smoking.

A good day at the range.

Optics Leica Geovid Pro AB+ Binos

Like new pair of Leica Geovid Pro 10x42 binos with Applied Ballistics. I bought these new from Leica a few months ago. The quality and function of these is unbelievable, I actually think they're built better built than my Swaro NL pures. I'm simply preferring a handheld rangefinder for bow hunting so I'm gonna switch to the Leica monocular version of these. Comes in original box with all accessories.

$2900 shipped. PM me to discuss payment options.

Possible trade for a Desert Tech M2/A2 chassis.

SOLD PRICE DROP**Manners LRH NV Sedona camo Rem 700 SA Micro chassis

New, includes EFR mount and extra spacers for cheek piece. Below is the description from Altus where this was purchased:

This stock is fitted with a hybrid version of Manners' popular light adjustable spacer cheek system. While not quite as adjustable as our standard KMW adjustable hardware, you still have the ability to fine tune the stock for that perfect cheek weld.

The action area of the stock is lowered so there is no need for a port or side bolt release cut to fit most actions. By not having to cut the port or side bolt release out of the shell, we can maintain maximum strength. All of this while still keeping the overall weight super low.

Highlights:

  • The average weight of the stock is 30 to 34 ounces with standard configuration
  • Manners Rem 700 Universal Inlet will fit Rem 700 or Rem 700 clone actions
  • Equipped with Manners Micro Chassis
  • Will work with any M5 footprint DBM
  • Comes with MCS EFR Top Rail
  • LRH stocks come standard with 3.5” ARCA rail mounted in front of mag well to achieve optimal balance
  • Full 100% carbon fiber shell
  • Narrow low-profile fore-end, accepts up to an M24 barrel contour
  • Comes with 1" Pachmayer Decel Pad
  • Designed for all Remington-based right hand actions, can also be ordered in left hand version with a reinforced traditional bolt notch.

7prc or 300 prc

I know the recoil of the 300 is supposed to be more but less perceived. Got it.

I had a 7 PRC and with factory 180 ELD got it to a mile ok. Like a dumb ass I sold that rifle. Now I'm looking to get back PAST a mile. Recoil aside, I know the 300 is heavier but the 7 has slightly better ballistics. Will the heavier bullet/more powder keep the 300 stable further than the 7's slightly higher velocity at the mile? I dont have an absolute distance goal in mind, just wondering.

Any advice appreciated.
