I’veactually never met @lash. Haven’t shot any long gun comps since I left the panhandle. Haven’t shot anything at Volusia since December.
We’re headed to Tampa area Saturday . Will have to check out Joe’s.

Safeties are for gays and single actions. It’s a training issue, safeties only help the retarded. A safety is a crutch for a lot of dumb people obviously accidents(negligence) can happen with any firearm but if I can’t train you not to touch the trigger, then I can’t train you to put the safety on reliably. No amount of safeties are going to stop an ND if you don’t use them properly and repeatedly. If you don’t put your booger hook(or anything else) near the bang switch it won’t fire…unless it’s a 320.
The best safety is a good holster, and I repeat a GOOD holster. If you can’t touch the trigger it won’t go off unless it’s a 320. “Im not going to carry” idgaf, get a good hard sided holster pull it out when things go bump it’s ready to go. No chambering a round no fumbling with safeties just bang bang, “but muh leather” corrosion.

I have not seen sufficient evidence that the people who have been injured by Sigs didn't pull the trigger with a shirttail or craptastic holster.
There are videos of Grocks that allegedly fired without pulling the trigger. I posted one a couple times already.

A safety stopping an ND doesn’t make for a safe shooter, they are still retarded. Then comes the fact they have to remember to click it to fire, half the tards can’t do that on the range let alone defending themselves.
ND holstering/upholstering are still a training issue not a manual safety issue. Again, the trigger has to be touched to actuate. Stupid is stupid regardless of safeties.

Reason I ask is if Sig and others believe the UD is caused by a poor fitting holster causing pressure etc, what would happen if you are driving and get in an accident with a hard impact that tightens the seat belt causing pressure on the 320 in your appendix area?
I’m sure that impact and sudden tightening of the seat belt could be enough pressure to cause an issue but who knows for certain?

I think he would not be impressed but I might be surprised. From what little I've read on him he was one of the most grounded individuals in the business.
I handled one of the newer "larger" framed P365s recently, I'm tempted to replace the P320 with one. I tried the metal framed version and didn't like it. The neck is too small and digs in to the web of of my hand sharply. For my baby soft hands the polymer frames soak up a little of the recoil making it more comfortable to fire.

I wouldn't contest the drop test failure of the P320 under the right conditions.
I don't believe it will fire EVERY time it's dropped and I also believe it can pass a drop test that is not vigorous enough.
There's another video out there somewhere from several years ago of a guy beating the hell out of several guns with a hammer and IIRC the P320 was the only one that fired when beat with a hammer but it didn't fire on every hammer blow.

Here is a report from a whistleblower from the DHS firearm section:
“I conducted Negative 30-Degree Impact Tests on my new, personally owned SIG P320 Pistol AND on ICE issued SIG-P320 Pistols. SIG up-grades were installed in all pistols. All the pistols, personal and government, had Unintentional Discharges (UD) during the Negative 30-Degree
Impact Tests.
I can demonstrate and prove a UD Firing can occur on any ICE Issued, SIG Upgrades installed
P320 Pistol. In addition, the UD Firing can be witnessed when a 'Negative 30-degree Impact Test' is conducted. A chambered round (primed empty case) will fire when the back of the slide is struck at the correct angle and with sufficient force.
These findings contradict OFTP Test Results and SIG Sauer's assertions that the pistol is drop/impact safe and had passed extensive safety tests, exceeding ANSI, SAAMI, and US military
MILSPEC safety requirements.”

Oh, I agree. I have no use for the man at all, and disagree with much of what he says for sure. We are/were not his audience. He had one though, and some of the stupid things he said made sense for them. I couldn't get over his training to panic at all and that caused me to completely dismiss him, but it's valid for who his audience is. Most of the people who are afraid of guns should not carry one, but some do.
