It’s not hard but a lot of people don’t do it and then complain. As mentioned earlier in this thread it has to be set right height to put the small bullet in the small hole.
The issues were notably worse with the higher volume of barreled actions being shipped. Pretty easy to track the history.

Anyone who says CZs never have feeding issues is full of shit. I see it happen at matches. When an AICS mag .22 is set up right they run
I didn’t say they never had issues Rob. Compare the numbers service vs problems. Kind of like a custom sports car. Without expert tuning and/or a significant period of amateur self education that is super frustrating after spending $5K, disappointment happens often. I say this as an owner who ran 100+ rounds through my Duece today using Voodoo mags and MKM extensions. I am many $10K down this rabbit hole. I know of what I speak. I recommend to upgrading shooters either a full boutique custom build delivered turn key including ammo tested in the chassis, or a CZ. Unless they like kicking themselves in the balls.

They don’t need a full turn key but need to be aware how to make the mags run. None of my Vudoos were full guns. Only barreled actions. Had one in a Manners and it was having issues. Dropped it into another Manners and ran like a top. My present set ups in Matrix Pros run great too. Very rarely is there an issue. Just like a CZ. It’s all about how you set it up. Too many people buy barreled actions and have no clue what they are doing. It just takes a little adjustments and they run fine.

That’s education and experience talking though. Imagine you didn’t have that, but did have $5K. Where would you spend your second $5K?

That’s what these forums are for. To help them if they have an issue so they don’t need to spend a second $5k.

I sure as hell wouldn’t go back to a CZ after running a 700 footprint rifle. Even if Vudoo shots the bed I would go with a RimX or maybe something new coming out.

Tikkas do have feeding issues too, but for the most part they are very very reliable.
You can slap most CZs and Tikkas on a bag/barricade, and never have to worry about inducing a fault.

Not saying that any company shouldn't use AICS pattern (for better or worse it seems most people do what that).
Just pointing out that there may be some advantages to the hanger style magazines.

Not that I think Mike needs my opinion.

If you push them into those bags they will. Seen it happen.

These are good points and to be learned from. What should've happened is a published education series that welcomes new shooters/owners into the fold and part of the series is how to properly set up a barreled action. Those experiencing the issues aren't to blame.

Grey Ops didn't create this for no reason.

Again not saying AICS magazines are bad (not even close) but if a manufacturer was looking to think outside the box, magazines are place to do something different.

You're absolutely right. Magazine hangers directly attached to the receiver are a good way to go and there is an application where I'll use one, just not on a true-to-scale receiver.

And, I'm always open to your opinion, Dude.

A couple of day ago I was inclined to remind you of the value of the Vudoo videos. Didn't want to overload you with suggestions but as I read what you wrote above I think you got there on your own. I think more than the technical exchange it also has benefits in marketing and community building.

Ok, I've started the process of mass emailing to make sure I have what's needed to categorize who has what generation of action and to complete what's needed to streamline the ordering process. I've been sending 10 emails at a time today and the first 50 have gone out. I'll continue with this through the remainder of the weekend and into Monday, so if you haven't received the email yet, you'll see it by the end of Monday.

If one isn't sure what generation one has, there's a post in this thread, page 229, post # 11,418 or click this link:
https://www.facebook.com/share/g/15PcSv9yC7/ to join the DDG Private Group on FB by clicking JOIN and I will approve you. Once you're approved, go to FEATURED and you'll see the information on how to determine which Gen you have.

Thanks,
MB

Yessir, you did; you've always been good that way, and I miss doing those videos.
