For those that are paying attention, a few products are being sold right now are knock off Nightforce products and way too generous of prices. LPVO’s came first and now the Rap-i mounts with “mil-spec” and fake cage codes on them. Buyers beware, if it sounds too good, it is.

I saw some dipshit try flipping one of these on eBay for $800 because “milspec”.

Is there an easy way to id the fakes ?

Yes, there is. Among smaller subtle differences, there are three obvious differences.

1. On this fake, the bottom portion is round, roughly matching the scope tube. An NF has a profile similar to the red line, sort of matching the shape of the scope ring.

2. Fake, angle looks roughly 90 degrees.
NF has an angle of 110 included, on the mounting surfaces.

3. Original NF has a slot cut in that sloped face.

But yeah, it says right on the eBay listing that it is from China.
