Just thought id drop in and say hello to those around here.

Especially those I met at the JC Steel match, hope to shoot with you all again once things settle down!

Take care!

Just a heads up to the AR guys... As AtOne said earlier there's 2 Surefire 60rd mags at MSRP, and I also found a box of Promag 42rd magazines that are MSRP.

We're also supposed to be getting a truck tomorrow and I'll be there from 10am-6pm. There might be some good reloading components on there. I might try and bring my tablet so I can post up what I find first thing in the morning. We're not allowed to hold anything so if you need it real bad call me at the store and I might be able to pick something up for you or ask someone here local to help you out.

There are small and large rifle & pistol primers right now. Also... Tomorrow at around 10am... 1K rd bulk packs of Federal 55gr FMJ and 442 rd packs in ammo cans of .223 will be dropped on the floor. If you want .223 ammo I suggest you stop by tomorrow.

fyi, This Thursday starting at 3pm Machias is holding a 500 yard prone practice. $10. I always shoot any/any sling but if any of you bipod shooters come out I would be interested in observing your technique for eliminating bipod hop and keeping the scope on target through the shooting process...

My manners T4 came in today, I need to get it bedded but Rbros can't get me in until May.

I'd like to get it bedded sooner so I can shoot a few F class matches here in Puyallup.

Can you guys recommend anyone else or would I be better off waiting for Rbros? Thanks in advance.

You can also try JD with High Speed Shooting Systems... Go to page 1 and there's a list I created that has local businesses which might help :D

If you are unable to find someone to bed it for you, reading the tutorial here( free IIRC) may convince you to do it yourself. Marine Tex is easy to find, and if you are unable to find some release compound, or spray, I have some you can use. The whole job should take you a few of hours the first time, but it isn't that difficult to do. clean up usually takes me longer than the actual bedding.

Hi Nick, Do you work at one of the Sportsman's Warehouses? Which one?

Thanks.

Just thought id drop in and give a heads up!

I found some Independence 5.56 at the Everett Wal Mart tonight (just north of 128th/Hwy 99). They had a few cases on the bottom shelf. They are still stingy with the 3 box limit but if your hard up for some decent 5.56 and are in the area its worth the stop at $8.97/20. They also had a little .223 Tula $5.97/20 but who wants that stuff?

I am far from the skill level of many here, but I hope to catch up with some of you gentlemen in the future for some long distance shooting!

the guaranteed sun comes 3x per year. One day each in june, july, and august. at the last rifle match we had monsoon type rainfall that seemed to start just as it was Ryan's turn to shoot..darned near every time it was his turn to shoot. He was a real trooper and shot anyhow.

Does anyone local have a plain jane G.I. flash suppressor for an AR15? I need one to complete a trade for another part that I have wanted for a very long time. I'm not looking for a freebie, but am hoping to avoid paying $10 shipping for a part that Bravo Company sells for $8. I imagine that shipping and handling will boost a cheap part's cost to double it's value...

I will pay or trade. I didn't post this in the WTT section as that puts me right back to paying shipping.

Did you check to see if Surplus Ammo and Arms has one over in Lakewood? Ask for Aaron...

Yeah I got one for ya. Its just sitting in my gun room so its yours.

Anyone seen .308 primers? I need some so I can get some bullets ready.

I have 112 Winchester large rifle left over from a batch that I used most of...you can have them if they will help you out. I sorta doubt they will be worth the drive though. Nick said that the Silverdale store had large rifle primers. At least there, you could get enough of the same lot to make it worth the drive.

We're out of large rifle. If any come in on Monday I'll take care of you Justin...

Thursday practice at Machias was excellent. 3 relays 22 shots each at 500 yards with no wind. Tried 24 grains of N140 over 80 SMK jumping 15 thousands with no pressure. 597 with about 30X. Two of nines were not called. Will move the bullet closer next time to see if it tightens up a little more...

Fedcop, i have 1000 match 7 1/2's or 980 cci's. Bought a little of everything but decided i like federals so didn't load the cci's after the twenty i used in load development. Send me a pm and we can get together if either of those will work for you. Sorry i can't ship them.

Thanks to everyone for the bedding advice.

Sorry, auto correct on my phone changed magtech to match and i didn't catch it.

They are magtech 7 1/2's not match.

Lol... Auto-correct... sometimes your friend... and other times a royal pain in the mother @#!$%*# @$$...

I think one of the funniest auto correct issues I heard of was the fellow who was selling a Prius. He got an email from someone wanting to come by and take a look at his penis.

Hey all,

Just found this thread. I have been in Washington for 25 years and I am still not aware of anywhere to shoot beyond 200 yards that you can get to without belonging to a club or going to a match. I am in Tacoma and I would love to get out and practice with a group. My primary focus is CQB but I would love to get into long range precision stuff. I got a decent rifle and good hand loads. Anybody planning a shoot any time soon?

Welcome. There's several places not too far away to stretch your rifles legs. We have monthly matches the 3rd Saturday of every month at the Upper Nisqually Sportsman's Club which is only 20-30 minutes from Tacoma.

there are a number of members at the upper nisqually sportsmans club on this site. I am certain that someone would be happy to have you there as a guest. Club rules say members can bring the same person out 3X as a guest before the club wants you to join.

You might want to take a look at the clubs website, and read through previous pages of this thread to find out more about matches at Nisqually.

If CQB is your thing, there is a friday night rifle league at an indoor range that is talked about in the hometown/ washington section of AR15.com.

The range we shoot on at nisqually goes out to 550 yards, and the benches are under a nice covered area.

all, I was able to purchase a nice load of CCI primers from Mailman today. he also showed me all his cool toys including a super nice brand newly built .260 (while my wife impatiently waited for me in the truck lol.) So i am good to go to start getting some load data down. Thanks again Mailman for the primers! your a stand up guy and we would love to see you at one of the Sat. Upper Nisqually shoots in the near future.... bring that sweet new .260 :)

Our matches are not under cover though... so if you come out and the weather is looking like rain you might want to be prepared lol...

Awesome, I will take a look back and check some stuff out. Any members who are willing to take me out to shoot at Nisqually can shoot me a message. It would be greatly appreciated.

I don't get the cast off my foot till end of the month, maybe toward the end of next week or May 6 or 7, I could get out for some shooting at Nisqually.

Nick is right about the matches being in the weather. We get to stand around under cover, but shooting at the matches is in front of the covered benches.

As a plt Sgt I had once said "Oh good!!! Stop the war...there's rain" Not to worried about it. I will be in Quantico from the 3-16th of May. Perhaps when I get back. Thanks for the offer.

Contact me after you get back to this area. I will be driving again by then. Geez, not driving is a real pain in the butt, but my wife has been a real sport. She even hauls me around to pick up gun parts, and Does it without complaining. I got a keeper.

The UPS man stopped by and finally delivered the powder that I ordered in January!!! 14 weeks order to door, kind of ridiculous.

On the good side at least you appreciate it more after having to use someone Else's ammo at matches ;)
Good to hear Kevin !

If any of you are hunters, & have been putting in for a Big Horn sheep permit in the Tieton unit, don't look now, but there isn't a hunt there this year! I just sent a nasty e mail to the director of DFW asking for my money back for over 10 yrs of permit applications to draw this hunt! Last year they raised the fee for the tag from around $75.00 to $220.00, & this year it's $330.00, & the draw isn't on the list anymore. I am So glad this is the last year I'm going to be supporting this pi$$ poor excuse for a game dept. I think I'll have better luck in AZ.
