I need a name for a rifle action company. Help me and win.

The MOH winners is a great idea if i could keep it from looking like i am profiting from these Great mens sacrifices. I would not want people to take that the wrong way.

Seeing as the MOH was initially brought into existence during the Civil War, and there is a MOH Foundation to look after these fine folks AND their families.... the options are both large and various.

Not unlike the way the Navy names their ships after HONORABLE individuals..... this is something that really should be explored. IMHO. Point is, there are so many that aren't known to begin with, and really.... who is gonna do any research of those from the past? It's not the latest football scores or 'local scandal', so it's not important on anyone's minds. Make it so.....

The opportunity IS there,,,,, be known for your quality AND your principles. Just a suggestion. (not implying you ain't)

Boner Rifles. The Woody, the Hard On, my Johnson, my Wad as in "I'm gonna go shoot my Wad", The Meat Missile, The Baby's Arm holding an Apple, etc. You get the idea.

You implied that you might be partial to a Patriotic theme... here are a few ideas:

1.) Minute Man Arms - Then you could name each model after revolutionary figures (i.e. "Revere" for Paul Revere).
- Each model could have a number as its designation (like Surgeon also does... their short action is the 591). In this case, each of your numbers would be the year of a significant date in history that led to our independance (i.e. 1773 - Boston Tea Party, 1776 - do I need to explain that one?, 1783 - Treaty of Paris, ending the war and establishing US sovereignty.)

2.) Revere Arms - Reflects back to Paul Revere and the establishment of our nation's independence. Also a play on words, implying that these receivers are worthy of reverence.
- See above for ideas on model names.

3.) Revolutionary Arms - Again, reflects on the establishment of our nation. Again, also a play on words in two ways... implies that there is something really special and new about these receivers... having a rotating bolt locking mechanism, the bolt makes about a 1/4 revolution as it locks into the breach.
- Each model could be named after a significant battle in the American Revolution.

How about Raptor or Falcon Tactical?

Rifles would be raptor/falcon names

You could either do scientific or common names

e.g. Gosshawk or Accipiter gentilis

of course have the Eagle (Haliaeetus leucocephalus)

Cold Iron Armaments (aka CIA), commemorating Warrior Wizards, Sorcerers, Legends, and Familiars/Pets/Steeds, etc. Slogan for CIA, "Always more than just what the eye can see..."

Mithrandir
Shadowfax
Franklin
Edison
Tesla
Loki
Bob
Aku
Others

The images provided should supply additional ideas or names as well as graphics.

I also thought about model names that one might associate with covert stuff, but most of them sounded too paranoid/neurotic.

But going for a Patriotic/Victories theme:

Ticonderoga
Bunker Hill
Yorktown
Monmouth
Oriskany
Iwo Jima
Tarawa
Midway
Hue
Khe Sanh
Normandy
Bastogne
Belleau Wood
Somme

You get the idea...

Also thought about Cold Steel Armaments (CSA). The association with Confederate States of America is unavoidable; might be a plus, might not. Slogan for CSA, "Cold Steel, always at the foundation of personal Liberty..."

Midwest Precision Arms

The URL is available midwestprecisionarms.com

I would keep the names simple i.e.

Alpha I, Alpha II
Bravo
Echo
etc...

or you could name the actions after the states in your home state of Nebraska i.e.

Lincoln
Omaha
etc...

For the hell of it.

Bare Metal Arms/Actions- You could name the actions after different metals.....

True Precision Arms/Actions-"We set the standard others gauge themselves by".

All that comes to mind for the moment.

Well i do like the fact that every body makes aftermarket parts for the 700. And i dislike the fact that if i came out with something new nobody would make anything like triggers or stocks. I would also have a much harder time marketing something that was unproven and no demand for.

YAY! Just what the market needs.... ANOTHER remington clone........I guess designing something different would be too hard.

Foxtrot Precision.
Derived from US Fighter planes F-numbers.
You can name rifles after F series planes such as:
Falcon (F-16)
Eagle (F15)
Tigershark (F-20)
Raptor (F-22) etc.

Just a thought and all the best with your new company!
May you become a name that will be uttered with pride confidence by those who use your actions.

RSA-R

For the Win....Names for the Company: Zero-In US Global Firearms, or Zero-In on American Firearms

Possible Rifle Series & Action Names:

Calculated Tour Firearms
Fraction Action
Zippy MPH
Cruze
Rocket Shot
City Limits

US Renown Trust Firearms
Glory Action
Blue Metal Star
Lock-n-Lean
Deadly Drill

Jewel Ridge Firearms
Nugget Run

Best Wishes on your new venture! :) This is a great marketing challenge.

"Juggernaut Steel Works" (battleship) and then name the actions after a few of the many types that were created:

Montana

Or use types of ships like "Dreadnought", "Ironclad", "Destroyer", etc...
