Well it turns out you are right. They filed mine as normal paper instead of e-form 4. There were clear instructions. They knew they were supposed to e-file. I only sent them a pdf of my trust, nothing else. They told me they were going to e-file my forms. Instead I was informed that they didn't start e-filing until November. I am beyond P.O.ed. I feel like Silencer Shop screwed me. It seems like Silencer Shop has screwed more people than just me. Do what you say you are going to do. Wow..... I am peaved.

It appears that I made that list as well. I purchased 5 suppressors from SS in November & only 1 was e-filed; even though I was told via phone & email that they would be e-filed. Not good customer service.

I also verified via phone and email about e-filing. More than once even! I wish there was something I could do. I'm still cooling off before I talk to them again. I don't know that I would purchase from them again for the fact that they really don't give a crap that it happened, and apparently to multiple people too!
 
SS should be able to make a phone call and cancel your applications and resubmit them electronically. If they will do that for you. It will still be much faster, but who knows how long it will take the ATF to reimburse your money for the stamps.

On a seperate note, 1 application for suppressor and 1 for an AOW submitted on OCT22 and came back today. They are getting faster.

How could the BATF cash a check made out to Silencer Shop? Sounds like it was e-filed, probably some confusion on who cashed the check. You either paid Silencer Shop for the stamp and it was e-filed or you made the check out to the ATF and sent it with paper form 4's and paper copies of your trust?

Yeah that was my point. It was supposed to be e-filed. I never sent them any paperwork besides my trust. I did try to e-file. Someone along the line fudged it up. I don't know how.

Did they confirm with you that ....."YES, we did PRINT your PDF trust out on paper, and
Sent it in an envelope".....?

Did you actually see in person the item/suppressor?
Do you have the serial # to it now?

Just talked to me dealer because of this thread and they are having similar results, one in specific was submitted on the 22nd of October and approved today.

Our latest approval was e-filed 10/20/2014 and approved 1/20/2014! I hope they can at the very least keep this pace up.
 
Awesome, Ive got a couple on 11/7 and another on 11/22. Hope this pace stays up as well, those are the ones I really want. Unfortunately the ones I bought a month prior were paper filed :(

I hope this pace keeps up! My dealer just submitted my first eForm form 4 today. It only took him a week to get it through with their website issues. I could have my Templar group buy can in my possession in just under 2 years.

Just purchased my first 22lr can. E-filed 1/28/14 I hope it goes as quick as some of the others in this thread.

Yep, was reading this thread for eform info, not an engraving your SBR argument. I see some comments asking about an individual filing an eform, and some of you seem to have done so. But on the SilencerShop.com FAQ they have this:

"You can’t submit an electronic Form 4 on your own – even if you create an e-Forms account. The reason for this is due to the fact that the FFL/SOT has to have an account that is specifically linked to their inventory in the NFA registry."

So can individuals file their own eforms or not?
 
My local LGS keeps telling me they have to complete one final "confirmation step" to be able to efile my suppressor on my trust. They've never eFiled before, and I asked about this possibility back in December before I even ordered it from SilencerShop.

Is this legit, or the runaround? I've waited almost a month since my suppressor was delivered to the LGS, who said they would be able to eFile it.

I was told it would be 10 days or so to complete the last conformation step, now 16 days later he says another week.

If your dealer is already setup with NFA, then submitting your F4 Trust should take less than 15 minutes. I sat with my local dealer when he did mine.

If your dealer is saying they need one final "confirmation step", to be be setup with NFA on the eForm system, that is a whole different matter. I have no idea what the dealers need to do in order to use the eForm system.
 
Abq, thanks again. It's the latter. I was wondering if anyone had experience with that setup process. I chose to send my suppressor to this shop because they said they would be able to efile.
 
For the last few weeks the system has been all screwed up. I tried to submit 30 form 4's today only 6 worked without locking up. Before this it has been great. About to throw in the towel until it gets better.
 
I put mine in on 12-2 and I was told by the lady at NFA that it will be cleared in 4 months. By the looks of this thread it seems 3 months is the norm. I feel all gigitty inside. Cant wait. I had this suppressor well over 2 years before I could get home to do the paperwork. My line of work has deff ruined some good things. Ohh well, my rifle should be singing silent night for too much longer.

I put it off for a month but it got the best of me. I ended up refiling and canceling my previous submission with "multi" as the caliber for a form 1. Figured it was better to go ahead and do it instead of waiting two more months and having to do it anyway.
 
eForm 1 (SBR): 02/07/14 and pending.

Ident is engraving my lower. $60 bucks including the return shipping. Not a bad deal.
 
I got mine back today. I think I would have gotten this back 12-13 days ago except the eform website has had problems the last 2 weeks. Even with that, mine took 105 days (3 months and 2 weeks).

Ask your dealer to check his mailbox/trash = bulk mail. Some dealers are
Realizing the stamps have been coming in, but never noticed since they
Never prioritized the govt website in their email box.
 
I might have to do that if I don't hear this week. But this is a big dealer, they had allot of cans when I bought mine, including the white sparrow. I know they have gotten many forms back because I verified that they were seeing 3 month turn around times also. I emailed last week just to check and he said I'm next in line to come back but the system was down most of the last two weeks so nothing had come in but he expected it towards the end of least week it this week.

I paper filed 2 in november and 1 in december, was told they couldn't E-file for a trust..
the can I just bought I will make sure is E-filed when I get stateside in March!
 
Yeah, in fact the trust is the only thing that can be efiled. You could even do it yourself with an SBR.

OK. I did not file electronically.
My check was cashed on 4/23/2013 for a Form 1 approval. I haven't heard a damn thing.
My check was cashed on 6/17 for the Form 4 on another purchase. Nadda!
How much F'N longer should it be?
Asking this based on what you guys are seeing/experiencing.
