Vudoo Gun Works V-22 Rimfire Bolt Action

That is good to know on the Fed UM22. Looks like prices went up $1 a box in the last two weeks, to $7 and $8 a box, but shipping kills it. I have had great luck with SK Rifle Match at the same price, but I have wanted to try the UM22, just don’t want it in bulk.

Gosh I love these guns...just looking gives me a woody.

Ever drop one in a Magpul Hunter stock? It would make a great hunting/practice rifle I could train the grand kids on.

For those of you that have put these in a Manners or McMillan, what barrel channel inlet have you went with? Assuming a Kukri contour barrel.
If you want your stock to be dedicated for your v22 then, mcm or manners can inlet them for your barrel contour.my stocks mostly mini chassis and jae for universal purpose.i got more barreled action than stocks.but any rem varm contour or bigger will take the v22..barrel meant to be free fluted and I don't mind the gaps :)

I'd be going more for the universal route as well. I'm keeping my eye on the used market for stocks right now to see if I can catch any good deals while I'm putting aside funds for a barreled action. I'm with you on not minding the gaps, but at the same time don't want to pick up something with a really big gap.

Awesome thanks, that gives me something to go by. I've had someone offer me a T4A with a M24 contour and that's what lead me to ask about them here. Til this point I've always either had a chassis that had way more than enough gap, or wood stocks that I've just taken sandpaper to if I need a little more opening for free floating.

So RAVAGE88, do us guys waiting in builds get the new Vudoo owners shirts with our rifle? (Hint hint). I’ll take a 3X! Oh yea a fitted hat too.

If your paying for a Vudoo you can afford to buy a shirt. Plenty of us have bought them, do we all deserve free shirts? I think you can pay for one.

There are two different shirts. The Grey one is reserved for owners only and a Black one that's available for anyone. Both can be purchased through the website or by calling the shop in St George. This applies to hats and other swag as well.

Thanks, Guys,

Awesome, now I have to add another shirt and that cool new flag/logo patch to my order. (y)

Did some additional testing with the ammo that grouped the best from me (that I had on hand), and gathered info on velocities and SD's. Hope this helps as well:

When they introduce an “owners only” shirt that’s a way to send them with a rifle they just bought.

When they charge what they do for a rifle they can afford to throw in a shirt.

It goes both ways.

I got everything I paid for on my order and you will too.

If you think you deserve a kewpie doll for being their customer, you're a bigger ass whipe than the free 3x shirt would cover.

Lol I didn’t say I deserved anything.

Seriously it’s amazing what you guys get up in arms about.

Back to rifle related topics please. I have learned my lesson.

I am curious, did any of you order the case they offer? I've got several cases, but I do like the look of it and feel like it would be a good addition to the rifle, so I can keep all of the Vudoo mags, Atlas, etc... together.

Has anybody purchased one?

I did. It is a very nice addition to the rifle. The case is made by Peak Case Company.

Finally got my Vudoo together, got a barreled action from Mile High with 4 mags, ARC rings, XRay chassis, and Ingenuity Gunworks rail to replicate my match rifle. Waiting on the Athlon Ares ETR, and its game on! These Vudoos are awesome, worth the coin and the hype! Just a quality action, well done.

WWhich ones grouped the best? What distance were you shooting?

Hmm. Cant say I've tried to eject a live round yet.
You had better luck then me with cci. It was going to take much more force then I was comfortable putting on my bolt to get it to close on cci ammo so I just said screw it.
Shot more norma match today and made bugholes at 50 yards
Shot about 45 rounds Thursday when the son in law come to pick up the grandson after staying with us a couple of days of fun and sun and had quite a few that was difficult to chamber and extract. Most of them was the CCI SV's and about 9 or 10 of the SK's that the bolt closed a little tight on would not extract without being fired.

I have been looking at one of these also.
Can you elaborate on the interior compartments? I know that from the single pic from their site some are pretty obvious, but would like to know how many mags it holds etc.

I’m still trying to figure out what each cut-out’s intention is for. I only have 4 mags and there is 2 locations that fit 2 each perfectly. Big cutouts that I use for ammo and scope sunshade. I store multi tool and cleaning kit in smaller cutouts. They have included a dehumidifier type device to prevent moisture in case that has its own cutout. I leave bipod on and did have a cheek pad on but took it off because I got low NF rings to go on pst gen ii 5-25. On the rifle cutout they have it so you can leave scope on and also leave a “floating” piece of foam if your scope is longer. (mine fits perfect w/o taking out the loose piece of foam.) Maybe the guys at Vudoo could elaborate because this was just what has worked for me. I am curious if they had specifics in mind while designing this case?

What size Seekins rings will be best to mount a Vortex Razor AMG on a 20 moa base ? I'm looking at the .87 medium and the .92 medium high. I want to be sure that the scope caps and bolt lever ( large bolt handle) will have sufficient clearance. Thanks for any info !

I run the 24mm ARC rings with no issues. thWith the AMG and 20moa base. There close (0.95" ) I wouldn't go any lower than those

@RAVAGE88 how do you have your Vudoo case set up?

Actually, mine is nothing fancy, I have a drag bag (soft case) inside a Pelican hard case, same as all my 3 Gun gear. Much easier to move around matches with the drag bag then case it up and travel home with it.

Thank you for the information! It looks like the .97 seekins high rings should be a safe choice.

I tried 0.81 high rings with my AMG but the bolt handle would just barely hit the scope. I went to 0.93 high rings and have lots of clearance now.

@Duc what size barrel on that one with M40 stock? Would you mind letting us know what you paid for the stock?
