It uses the spigot mount just like the atlas/big dog but you tighten it down with a screw.
Interesting. No wobble like you see with the BT19 or Big Dog? I've been waiting for Sam to bring out another run of his, but I like how this raises the bipod up about half an inch closer to the bore or so. I may have to spring for both and just keep the better of the two. Sam's mounting system seems far more secure overall, though. Choices, choices...

I just checked and it is just a flat rate shipping charge of $20.
This happened the other day when I tried to order MPA’s $14 mag feedlip agjustment tool and they wanted $12 to ship it one state over.
I'll have to call them and ask what gives, because that's ridiculous. If it's an attempt to increase profits, they should just increase parts costs and charge an honest shipping rate. If it's NOT, then they really should update their shipping software because that's a big no-go from me as currently configured.

I was put off by the shipping charge (on the east coast), but decided I want to try this - something more rigid than the AI spigot. I still have some concerns with how effective the EI adapter is going to be. The mating sufaces (rifle to spigot) look much the same on both AI and EI models. Both have a rectangular, machined surfaces that contact each other without any kind of keyed or beveled edge. Maybe I just blew $120, we’ll see.

I wouldn't expect anyone to wait (and keep waiting) for the bipod mounts I designed, but they will be coming soon. I can't give out the details yet, but I'm partnering with a company that is going to be making, distributing and selling these bipod mounts, along with some other cool AI parts I haven't shared publicly yet. The bipod mounts will be offered in Picatinny and Arca-Swiss, and the Arca-Swiss version will have provisions to mount a standard M-Lok picatinny rail to it. Both AT/ATAICS and AE/AW/AICS versions will be offered.
It's going to be good, and you won't have to message me on SH to get them - it'll be a really nice website with lots of other precision rifle gear, too.

Thanks, Sam. I purchased several thumb rests so I know you produce quality hardware. Ultimately, I made need to go with your hard-mount spigot if I can’t get rid of the wobble with the EI adapter. Looking forward to see your products.

The EI spigot looks nice from that standpoint, but yours is the only one so far that is a genuine hard mount, and that's really what I'm looking for. I'll definitely be getting yours either way, if only to give it a try. Something tells me that it'll be the one that sticks around. But if you ever decide to give it a few tweeks, raising the mount closer to the bore is always a benefit... Definitely looking forward to what you have coming!

@redneckbmxer24 thats slicker than snot. As someone who owns the fix and the AX what are your opinions of the two in comparison. One is lighter, but one is more better? Haha. If that makes sense....
How did you get the PSR top rail?
@Movistar they're two very different rifles and IMO really not comparable. The AX is a tank of a rifle that's go to war reliable and the Q is more of a modern hunter to me, not really a heavy duty battle grade weapon. Also not something you'd want to sit and put a lot of rounds through at a time. I love them both and don't think I could pick one over the other.

The picatinny version for the AT and AE are currently the same design as the previous iteration that was sold (w/minor tweaks to improve machining). One of the main design considerations when I originally created it was that an Atlas bipod would be able to pivot the legs all the way rearward without contacting the chassis, and a Harris with Pod-Loc would fit. That came with the slight disadvantage of being further away from the bore (but still closer to the bore than a pic rail mounted to the bottom of the AI forend).
The Arca-Swiss variant is closer to the bore if using an Arca bipod attachment, AND if using an M-Lok pic rail on the Arca bipod mount it will still end up being approximately 0.275" closer to the bore than the dedicated picatinny bipod mount.

@redneckbmxer24 The million dollar question is...can you actually see the bubble level when you're behind the rifle? If so, that WOULD be awesome. As-is, the Spuhr bubble level is about useless but it does look cool. I've wondered if the PSR rail bubble level was the same.

I'm fine with that. I don't find myself folding the legs rearward much, but can see how having a more "universal" design is an overall better way forward. Looking forward to getting one in hand!@samb300 yes and no. You only see it with your non shooting eye without breaking position. The angle that you see it is bad and you can’t really see that it’s straight. I use the Spuhr level the same way and have no issue with it because it’s further out. Where the AI rail shines is at night since it glows.

Yep. It’s about a 1/8” gap between, but it slides like it’s seemless.
