Short of sexual favors, I have no idea how you got these so fast! Crazy!
And a trust, too... wow.

What in the world!? Dang, that’s awesome. Congrats. Now if they’d only get around to doing mine from 6/1/19
They never went away. This is all just a ploy to reduce avg wait times by creating outliers.Or mine from 05/23/19. From reports like this on the forums and Reddit, it looks like the random, out of order short term approvals have returned.
Exactly keeping the "key performance indicators" KPI's where they want them so they don't hire more people or look further into how screwed up there system really is. Keeps there empire the way they want it.They never went away. This is all just a ploy to reduce avg wait times by creating outliers.
I'm just not buying this theory. Who would they be trying to impress? I don't believe anyone cares, except us.They never went away. This is all just a ploy to reduce avg wait times by creating outliers.
Every organization has metrics they are trying to meet. Why would the NFA be any different. They told me that this is what is happening directly. You don’t have to “buy it”, it’s what is happening.I'm just not buying this theory. Who would they be trying to impress? I don't believe anyone cares, except us.
Sorry if you felt personally attacked. I just grabbed your post as it was handy. I've seen this before from other people, other forums. I took it as people making guesses. If an ATF employee told you they were trying to fake metrics, that is interesting.Every organization has metrics they are trying to meet. Why would the NFA be any different. No feelings hurt here. Just sharing what I was told. If you search this thread, you will see my deeper explanation. Yes, an atf employee told me this.Sorry if you felt personally attacked. I had two different folks at the ATF tell me this as well, and the fact that approval times are being tracked up the chain as a metric with a stated goal of 90 days is public knowledge laid out in their FY19 budget request.
stated goals are nice to have, especially around the first of the new year. the question is, can they keep their new years resolution? my guess is no...but there's always hope.
so I called the ATF yesterday to check on my Takedown 22.
Just found out mine was approved on Nov 18th but my gun store didn’t frickin call me. Thanks, Shoot Point Blank. Going to pick it up today and that will be the last time I set foot in their store.
Form 4 trust (single shot trust)
Purchased 12/18/18
check cashed 1/16/19
approved 11/18/19
They ought to be providing you with a big discount on some of their merchandise or give you some sort of compensation for their negligence.
They want their money up front but yet make you wait after the tax stamp arrives.
Most restaurants will not charge you for a meal if you have to wait a long time to be served. The dealer should do something to make it right with you.
I would have a few choice words for them when I picked it up, if it were me.
Yeah, especially after they called me last spring and said “we have your Thunderbeast suppressor in” and I had to ask the guy if he really wanted me to come pick it up and run a 4473 without the tax stamp....
To be partly fair to them this was a purchase through Silencer Shop and Shoot Point Blank is their closest “Powered by” dealer to me here in Carmel. But I would think they’ve done several of them and would know what to do.
I’ve used M&J Firearms in Fortville IN for previous SS purchases and can’t speak highly enough about Martin there. I’ll just continue to drive a little bit more in the future.
Jealous!Form 4 Trust
Purchased Oct 17th 2019
Check Cashed Nov 1st
Approved Jan 22nd
Picked up today! Couldnt believe it when they called!
I thought it was some sort of sick joke when they called me. Then to top it off I get there and they say " Oh! Looks like this one is actually your cousins!" I couldnt help but believe them for a few seconds.Jealous! But glad to see the Trusts getting some love!
Your dealer should call you when they have the stamp in hand.So wait-I was under the impression that if I purchased from Silencer Shop, that they would let me know when my stamp was ready. Apparently that is not the case? I've got 2 in jail, one shows my check cashed 4/28/19, 4 person trust. From what people are saying, I should be getting this really soon

Yes forgot to add that 1 person trust through silencershopTrust?
Maybe this should be in the dumb question area: What phone number do I call to find out my status? Maybe it is on my paperwork along with the Omega serial #? (The info is in a bank safe so I can't look easily now.)
Saved for later thanks.(304) 616-4500
NFA Customer Service center
Don't I get an email from them and a call from my dealer when it is approved as happened with my first can, or do approved form 4's sit around on a desk for a while before they go out? Do they not notify individuals of denials? Sorry, relatively new to the NFA mafia racket and I don't know the inner workings of the system. I just treat it like a big, cumbersome and pointless machine... money and paperwork go in one end, a bunch of govt chimps humping a football for 12 months in the middle, and a can comes out the other side. You give them serial number, your name, dealers name. They tell you date received and if its pending, approved, or denied.
You'll get a call from your dealer when they get the stamp. My form 4 was approved 1/16. Still no stamp. After 30 days your dealer can request the stamp if it still hasn't been recieved.Don't I get an email from them and a call from my dealer when it is approved as happened with my first can, or do approved form 4's sit around on a desk for a while before they go out?
