Gunsmithing New trigger engaging firing pin on bolt-close

Straight from the box it was set at approximately 2.5 lbs. It has a range of 1.5-4 lbs. Haven't really touched the adjustments at all. Most concerning is that only when fully torqued down does this slamfire occur.

Gunsmithing New trigger engaging firing pin on bolt-close

Good afternoon everyone, I recently swapped out my X-Mark trigger with a TriggerTech trigger for my Rem 700 SPS-V. Upon applying torque to the rear action screw to the recommended 65 in/lbs on my Evolution chassis, closing the bolt on "fire" results in the firing pin engaging. I noticed that...

Rifle Scopes You decide, help me vanquish this cylindrical demon...

So here's where I'm sitting. General consensus is to forcibly place this awkward hunk of metal up an orifice of the manufacturer. Unfortunately, I don't have the funding to allow for this, nay do I think the proprietor has the intestinal fortitude to safely continue to hold this in his rectum...

Rifle Scopes You decide, help me vanquish this cylindrical demon...

Come on guys, I have some self-respect as a long range shooter. In my darkest of days, I'd never mount and attempt to use a counter sniper. It makes me cringe just thinking about it. It's a Wotac Gen 3 10x40 mil/mil. Started out working fine, tracked well, and had average glass for the 600...

Rifle Scopes You decide, help me vanquish this cylindrical demon...

I come before the SnipersHide community with an option, nay, an opportunity. I have a scope that is in need of destruction. It ceases to track, hold focus, and the parallax is useless. Imagine if you will, a lumpy paperweight, but in its current state, it’s not even well-suited to...

J ALLEN Stocks I need help finding one for Rem. LA

From what I've gathered, they are no longer vaporware, there are some in circulation. I've even seen a couple FS here on the 'hide in the past. Just keep your eyes open or call JAE and place your order. I think the wait times are 8 months to a year the last I checked-which in comparison to...

    "Hey it's free right?"

So quick back story: I am presently employed at two jobs. During the day I am a leasing agent for a rather large property management company. Immediately following that job, I run across town and finish off the night at an indoor range. We had a rather large amount of ammo that had been...

    XLR Chassis Stock

After several years, I'm sorry to say, and I loathe my decision to this day, I had to sell my rifle. This chassis was the final step in my rifle's evolution (no pun intended), but due to some unforeseen and untimely circumstances, I had to sell it. I'm now out of the rifle game until my...

Sidearms & Scatterguns Not exactly K-Bars, but KITCHEN knives...

Re: Not exactly K-Bars, but KITCHEN knives... I use a set of Wustof Classic Ikons at work. They are amazing, hold an edge very well, and I usually have cooks twice my age preferring to use them. The 8" Chef's knife alone feels amazing in your hand with the full tang blade and heavy...
