Re: Bedding with Marine Tex Question as others have said, i just use my fingernails after removing the tape and it chips off just fine. i peel the tape off after its set a while, but is still pliable enough to come off easily.
Re: Bedding a SPS Varmint???? if you've never bedded one, by all means, practice on it. if you can only get a few bucks for it, its worth the practice to you. you dont want to drop a few hundred bucks on a stock and screw up the bedding on it and ruin the expensive stock. its not difficult...
Re: Storing your Bolt Action i use snap caps or just hold the trigger as i close the bolt, decocks the spring just fine but its just for peace of mind, i dont think it really matters.
Re: Trigger pull i shoot around 3lbs in my hunting rifles. ive gone as low as 2 lbs. i love them all, but with gloves on the 2lber was really really light
