Have they, or anyone else used one for LA mags?

Has anyone here used the CDI bottom metal for a mauser? I am interested how it worked out.

This is actually a M86 receiver that is going to be a long range / hunter. I am going to duracoat, so I am not interested in the color of the metal. I just want it to be strong enough to handle 308 and the other 7mm mag. Does anyone know how hard it needs to be?

Are the recievers the same? Besides the placement of the safety is the trigger the same? Would a M995 rebarreled and in a Whiskey Chassis be very close to a TRG? Thanks for your input
