Re: Do Police Snipers Use Duplex Reticles? I would love to see an explanation on how to use a duplex reticle for estimating range. Im new to all of this and and the $125.00 saved on a duplex reticle versus a mil dot I felt could be better used elsewhere, especially considering I could always...
I was checking out the Remington Law Enforcement website and I saw that the 700p TWS package includes a Leupold with duplex reticle and the M24 package includes a Leupold with mil dot reticle. On a side note I have a Leupold Mark IV with duplex reticle and I want to know what would be the best...
Aright, I just purchased a new Leupold Mark IV M1 with the duplex reticle. The money I saved between the mil dot and duplex was about $125.00. Now heres the issue. I went with the duplex because where I shoot, the max distance is 200 yards on known distance targets. What I spent on this scope is...
Im about to order a Leupold Mark IV and I still cant decide on the M1 or M3 turrets. Heres what Ill be using it for. I currently only have access to 200 Yards max but hope to find some longer distances to shoot. I like the simplicity and speed of the M3 turrets, however being primarily a paper...
Im looking to get a new base for a rifle Im setting up and Im having a hard time figuring out what to go with. I have a new Remington 700 Police and it does not have a detachable magazine, just a hinged floorplate. Im looking at a 1 piece picatinny rail but im concerned that it will be hard to...
Anyone here use a regular duplex reticle on their scope versus a mil dot or some other range finding type? If so why? Trying to decide on a scope and am leaning towards a traditional duplex reticle.
I am putting together a new rifle and it has come down to the scope. Considering times are tough and the holidays are around the corner what is the best piece of glass I could purchase for $600.00 or less. Heres the criteria....... 1. Shooting at a distance of 200 yards or less for now. 2...
In my 2 years of prowling this website Ive noticed an increase in the distaste in Leupold scopes. I know that only a very small fraction of their scopes are still U.S. made but the same goes for many other companies. I think they still offer a considerable level of quality at their price point...

Re: New guy here with a Leupold custom shop question!! Thanks for the posts. They give me confidence about having a brand new scope sent in to be worked on.
Hello, Im new here to snipers hide. Ive been lurking for a long time but finally decided to sign up. Heres my question... Ive been putting together a new rifle and had everything but the optic. I was at a local store on friday and I was browsing the scopes and they had a brand new in box...
