So I took my barreled out of my stock to do some work on the stock, and realized later on that somehow the trigger shoe had broken during the process. It's just an x mark pro, but I actually liked the feel of it. Are there any options for a replacement shoe other than going with the Jard kit or...
I have a 260 1/8 twist Krieger a hair over 23", and it loves the 140's. I went with a mtu contour, which I would not go with if I had it to do over. I prefer something around a Remington varmint contour for match type shooting.
The guy worked on it probably 8-10 hours. I had it back in a week due to him having other projects going on. It was his first time working with duracoat and doing a camo pattern, so he said it wouldn't be so bad the next time.
I got a local buddy of mine to spray a multicam pattern on my LR308 with the multicolor duracoat paint set. I'm very pleased with how it turned out. His airbrush work has been displayed in a couple custom motorcycle magazines. I had him add a metal mulisha skull on the cheek riser on the stock...
Really nice! Several grades above my particle board garbage. I thought about building a small trailer with different scenarios on it to pull to my shooting locations. They are all private farms, so I could just back up and start shooting.
To be honest I have had the gun for a few years and never weighed it. I'm gonna guess ~15 lbs but I'm not sure. I put a rock river two stage trigger in it and have had good luck with it. Some people have had light primer strikes using them but I've not had one yet, but I don't shoot surplus...
I really like my LR308b. It shoots around 1/2 moa with my loads. The only drawback with the b model is the upper receiver being an odd height, so finding a monolithic rail is pretty much impossible, if that's what you like. I put the PRS stock and JP 15.5" rail on it. I'm happy with it.
Which SS are you referring to? The fixed power line correct? I have several of the fixed power SS in 10x and 12x and really like them. I have the Falcon Menace in 5.5-25 and have not been too thrilled with it to be honest. The image appears very milky on any magnification over about the 15x...
Thanks for the heads up man. This is what I was looking for. I wasn't sure if they made such a thing or not, but I've been looking at other regular tubes if a monolithic wasn't a possibility.
After doing some research, I have found that DPMS has made their uppers in three different heights. The 308B model has the highest of the uppers, and I'm having a really hard time finding a forearm that will make the top rail monolithic. Handguards such as the Troy Battle comes in LP and HP...
The extractor itself might be sticking out of the lip in the bolt enough to catch the brass. I had a brand new 700P 300WM that was doing this. I removed the old one and put a new one in really careful without flattening out the radius of the extractor. Check and see if the extractor will push...
