Re: Flying with Guns. Great write-up! My uncle flew to Africa for a hunt and his rifle never made it. I can't imagine the disappointment. Ever since then, I have never wanted to fly with a gun.

Just curious if anyone is familiar with the series from AGI on gunsmithing? I am interested in learning to smith, mostly for my own projects, but live a couple hours from the trade school and any other gunsmiths. I was wondering if anyone has any idea what you can really learn from the tapes...

Re: First time watching a Ted Nugent TV show We all have made a bad shot or two I'm guessing, I was just surprised that they aired that shot. He does a lot for the 2nd amendment, but sometimes I think that his show is counterproductive to our cause.

Re: 338 bullets? As big as a Moose is, I would want maximum penetration. The Barnes will retain close to 100% of its weight, which should translate into good penetration. Berger is supposed to have 250gr and 300gr pills out by the end of the year? Who knows?

Re: 800 yard best cal I agree with what others here have said. If you look at the BC's, out of your list you can't beat the 7mm(.284) in a Berger 180gr. The only BC's that are better are for the heavy .338. Shawn

Re: Weatherby Vanguard The Wby Mark V's have freebore, which is why most people feel they can't get accuracy out of them. I'm not sure if the Vangards have it or not. I've owned a couple Wby's and all have shot well. Shawn
