    firing pin problems

@celltech can you provide more details about the effect of lubing the firing pin. I assume you are concerned with the lube accumulating dirt, or additional resistance in cold weather?

    Gunsmithing What Anti-Seize Lubricant???

I use Aeroshell 64 which is the same as Aeroshell 33MS. I would also consider the nickel based anti-seize.

    .308 Winchester

@Gungnir388 I would think that the loads you are planning to try with the 4064 will be too hot. You might want to recheck your data.

Gunsmithing should barrel threads start at the same exact point?

Perhaps I am misunderstanding the question, but I think that your math is off. The 360 degrees should be dividing the circumference of the barrel not the thread pitch. 3.1416 x diameter of barrel /360 degrees will give the distance of travel ex 3.1416 x 1.25 / 360 = 0.010” of movement per...

Ultimatum Deadline Light Firing Pin Issues?

I have 2 deadlines as well. One is dedicated for 223, the other I switch between 6.5x47 and 308. I have the original springs. I have never had a single issue with either rifle.

I don’t imagine you have much to complain about with that group.

    Sierra #7160 .224 60g TMK

I expect they would shoot well in your 1-9 twist. You should be able to go heavier even. I shot the 69 SMKs in my 1-9 barrels. My shooting partner tried the 60 gr TMKs in a 12 twist 223 Rem. Best he could achieve is 1.5” group at 100 meters. He seems to be able to get 60gr Vmax to shoot though.

223 vs 6.5 Creedmoor advice/question for you guys?

I have a 308, 65x47 and a 223. They all shoot great. I prefer to shoot the 223. It has a 26inch barrel, 7 twist barrel. Shoots the 75gr and 80 gr bullets extremely well. Shooting costs are lower, and gives the chance to practice wind reading.

Gunsmithing Action scews - SS vs Non SS

Stainless steel fasteners may be more susceptable to galling, especially if the SS screws are engaging into a SS action. Don’t forget to lube the threads.

Anyone know anything about International Barrels?

I have one, it shoots well

Must have been my poor wind reading abilities! Lol

Does anyone have experience with IBI prefit barrels?

I have a 1/7 for my .223, mounted on an Ultimatum Deadline action. I am happy with it and will be ordering one in 6.5x47.

If you bought everything as a kit it may already be configured. I bought the complete kit from CE and it was plug and play.
