Looking for first hand knowledge of the Dead Air Ghost M and the Rugged Obsidian 45. If cost is not a variable, which supressor would you choose and why? I have been kicking this around for far too long, so i have given myself until this Wednesday to decide and then I am ordering one or the...
Because of the perpendicularity tolerance requirements, you cannot rely on a jamb nut. It must be seated against the shoulder on the barrel. The jamb nut can and will cause cocking of the brake and consequently result in baffle strikes.
Make sure the feed ramps are not scoring the bullet when chambering. I had one that was puting a fairly significant gouge in the bullet when feeding / chambering. The feed ramps were a bit on the sharp side. polished them to remove the sharp edge and the flyers went away. As for feeding, be...
I have an ultra 9. Never wear anything more than cheap foam plugs. I couldn't be happier for a can used on my precision rifles (.308, 6.5 Creedmoor, .300 WM) as well as my .300 blk and 5.56.
I have 16" AR that will hold 3/4 MOA or better all the way out to 400 yards with 75 grain hornady HPBT and TAC. It will do very close to the same with factory hornady 75gr superformance or TAP ammo. However.....if I put 55gr ANYTHING or 62gr ammo it is a turd. Groups open up to 2" at 100...

Just confirm that when focus and the image is crisp that you do not get any reticle movement by shifting your head. If you do, parallax is going to take precedence over a perfectly focused image. If you find it's still off send it back to Vortex. Just remember (as someone else mentioned) the...
I have used the Athlon Argos BTR 6-24x50 and you are going to have a hard time beating what it offers for the money. I have an AR10 in 7.62x51...I have 4.5-30x50 on it. You can always back the magnification off if you have it...not having it and wanting or needing more sucks. We compared the...
