Re: scope mount headaches.... need advice. I've tried a bunch of them and won't use anything but LaRue now. Buy once, cry once. And you can get different rings from LaRue for 1 inch, 30mm and 34mm scopes so you won't have to change the mount if you change scopes. The LT104 is now available...

Re: Remington700 build...which barrel?? I am having my first custom rifle built. I used a Rem Sportsman 78 action as a donor, then found a Rem 5R take off barrel here on the hide, and am using a B&C Medlist stock. I'm anxious to get it back and see how she shoots.

I recently picked up an XD45 Tactical. Have not had it to the range yet. My question is, is it normal for this thing to require hurculean strength to rack the slide?

Re: precision rifles... show em I think it looks great! I wish I'd bought an LTR instead of my 700VS, but the VS shoots great and it would be a chame to screw it up. I'd really like to pick up an LTR in 223.
