Anyone who says CZs never have feeding issues is full of shit. I see it happen at matches. When an AICS mag .22 is set up right they run fine.

The issues were notably worse with the higher volume of barreled actions being shipped. Pretty easy to track the history. It’s not hard but a lot of people don’t do it and then complain. As mentioned earlier in this thread it has to be set right height to put the small bullet in the small hole.
I didn’t say they never had issues Rob. Compare the numbers service vs problems. Kind of like a custom sports car. Without expert tuning and/or a significant period of amateur self education that is super frustrating after spending $5K, disappointment happens often. I say this as an owner who ran 100+ rounds through my Duece today using Voodoo mags and MKM extensions. I am many $10K down this rabbit hole. I know of what I speak. I recommend to upgrading shooters either a full boutique custom build delivered turn key including ammo tested in the chassis, or a CZ. Unless they like kicking themselves in the balls.Anyone who says CZs never have feeding issues is full of shit. I see it happen at matches. When an AICS mag .22 is set up right they run

That’s education and experience talking though. Imagine you didn’t have that, but did have $5K. Where would you spend your second $5K?They don’t need a full turn key but need to be aware how to make the mags run. None of my Vudoos were full guns. Only barreled actions. Had one in a Manners and it was having issues. Dropped it into another Manners and ran like a top. My present set ups in Matrix Pros run great too. Very rarely is there an issue. Just like a CZ. It’s all about how you set it up. Too many people buy barreled actions and have no clue what they are doing. It just takes a little adjustments and they run fine.

Tikkas do have feeding issues too, but for the most part they are very very reliable.Anyone who says CZs never have feeding issues is full of shit. I see it happen at matches. When an AICS mag .22 is set up right they run fine.

You can slap most CZs and Tikkas on a bag/barricade, and never have to worry about inducing a fault.
Not saying that any company shouldn't use AICS pattern (for better or worse it seems most people do what that).
Just pointing out that there may be some advantages to the hanger style magazines.
Not that I think Mike needs my opinion.
These are good points and to be learned from. What should've happened is a published education series that welcomes new shooters/owners into the fold and part of the series is how to properly set up a barreled action. Those experiencing the issues aren't to blame. That’s education and experience talking though.
Grey Ops didn't create this for no reason.I didn’t say they never had issues Rob. Compare the numbers service vs problems. Kind of like a custom sports car. You're absolutely right. Magazine hangers directly attached to the receiver are a good way to go and there is an application where I'll use one, just not on a true-to-scale receiver.Just pointing out that there may be some advantages to the hanger style magazines.

Again not saying AICS magazines are bad (not even close) but if a manufacturer was looking to think outside the box, magazines are place to do something different.
A couple of day ago I was inclined to remind you of the value of the Vudoo videos. Didn't want to overload you with suggestions but as I read what you wrote above I think you got there on your own. I think more than the technical exchange it also has benefits in marketing and community building. These are good points and to be learned from. Yessir, you did; you've always been good that way, and I miss doing those videos.A couple of day ago I was inclined to remind you of the value of the Vudoo videos. This is a good question and some have asked it on FB as well. You can put both Gens in the subject line, ex: Gen 1/Gen 3 and the one email will get routed to the appropriate folders. No need to reply twice.Mike,
If we have more than one rifle/generation should we respond once for each generation we have?
I am waiting for the new DeLane straight pull ........
........would be wonderful if we had a U.S. company that would actually make match grade rimfire ammo instead of floor sweeping grade rubbish in a box that says match.
Yessir, there is a new magazine in the works that will be backward compatible with the V22.Ok, I am back to catch up on the thread.
Is there a plan for a new magazine design for the rifles already out there or is it all designing to a new repeater platform?
I am waiting for the new DeLane straight pull integrally silenced .32 S&W Long and ..38 Special switch barrel rifle that takes a Sten style mag….. In day glo orange or arctic cat green.
oh and the DeLane match ammo company. OK that last one is a bit far fetched but would be wonderful if we had a U.S. company that would actually make match grade rimfire ammo instead of floor sweeping grade rubbish in a box that says match.
I thought I already joined the FBgroup but apparently not but just did so.
Just make sure it works and doesn’t shave lead even though it’ll feed “all day long.”Yessir, there is a new magazine in the works that will be backward compatible with the V22.

I'm going to publish a video series and part of it will be how to properly set up stocks and chassis systems for reliable feeding. Shaving lead is not a magazine issue, it's a setup/tuning issue. A video about proper setup should've been done long ago.Just make sure it works and doesn’t shave lead even though it’ll feed “all day long.”
Did vudoo put a radius on the chamber face? I know it’s on the rimx tenon print. My vudoo would shave bullets sometimes. My rimx does not. I don’t remember my vudoo having a radius around the edge of the chamber face.I'm going to publish a video series and part of it will be how to properly set up stocks and chassis systems for reliable feeding. For the life of me I could not get my Stinger mag to not shave on my Vudoo. I’m not stranger to adjusting mags but even then couldn’t find a sweet spot that it liked where it would feed without shaving. I know it’s not a VGW product. Kind of why I quoted feeds all day long. Yeah mine would feed all day but 100% shaved each and every time.I'm going to publish a video series and part of it will be how to properly set up stocks and chassis systems for reliable feeding. With my chamber, yes, but I took my chamber with me when I left, and I don't know what they were doing after that.Did vudoo put a radius on the chamber face? I know it’s on the rimx tenon print. Ah, gotcha, makes sense. I have no experience what that magazine so can't speak one way or the other, but I know when guys had the same issues while using my mag that I was able to make adjustments to clear it up.For the life of me I could not get my Stinger mag to not shave on my Vudoo. To the best of my knowledge (and memory) they were still calling it a Ravage Chamber as of January 2024With my chamber, yes, but I took my chamber with me when I left, and I don't know what they were doing after that.
