    i think i'll call her "Rejiggered" last november i had a few stalks on wolves that frustrated me. they'd give me all day at 1200-1500 ayrds, but once i got inside 1000, they just dematerialized- poof! gone! no trace... it got me thinking about getting a bigger gun. i talked to a local shop...

    if 400 yards with a 22 equals 1000 with a 308....

    i did some 200 & 400 yard shots with the SS5-20 on the 10/22 today with crappy wind. it was 10-15 mph quartering slightly to my right out to 200, then from 200-400 it was blowing 20mph at full value left- then right- then straight at me again- then.... there was about a 10 foot ring of plumes...

    over scoped?

    i feel ridiculous having a $500 dollar vx-II 6-18 on my 10/22. who else is running a scope worth over 2x as much as their 22? and why? i love the way it shoots with the loopy on, but have a hard time rationalizing the idea of keeping it on there.
