Just bought four boxes of this stuff, then see two horrible reviews on Midway, both in the last month. Was hoping that it would work fine for 100yd "riflekraft" practice. According to the reviews...nope. Anyone used this stuff before?
Looking to buy an optic in the $1000 range for my Tikka 6.5CM. Pretty much settled on the Viper PST line. Rifle will be used primarily for riflekraft-type training within 300yds or occasionally shooting out past 1000 at a local range. Hope to get started with NRL Hunter at some point, but this...
Stopped by the local shop in Ky today and saw this on the wall. First thought was "It's just another bubba'd M1903." But handling it...I'm not so sure. Trigger is really nice. A lot of overtravel, but very light. Fit and finish of the wood is quite good. Barrel is free-floated all the way back...
I have a CTR but really like the idea of the Super Varmint/TAC stock with the adjustment knob. As it is, the cheekpiece is just a tad too low to really be perfect. Where could I find a stock like that, and if anyone has experience with them, are they worth it? Does the mechanism hold up well?
I've recently gotten into NRL22 with a Tikka T1x and Vortex Diamondback 6-24x MOA scope in Talley unitized rings. Combo shoots better than I do at the moment. However, I'm terrible at shooting without a bipod or some other external support. FWIW, I'm rarely over 14x on the scope. I've read...
Happened to check the Tikka website, which seems to be redone slightly, and noticed there is a 24" version of the T3x CTR listed. But all pictures are the 20" version. Has anyone seen other news of this? https://choose.tikka.fi/usa/tikka/t3x-compact-tactical-rifle?caliber=308%20WIN&handedness=RH
Considering a T3x CTR in .308. I've seen a number of people who have removed the factory cheekpiece and installed cheek pads or aftermarket adjustable units onto the factory stock Others have said the CTR cheekpieces don't come off. Who's right? I know they had an early model with an...
I'm looking at the Primary Arms scopes and they seem well thought of and robust (for the price). However I can't help but wonder about that reticle. It seems great (in theory at least) for quickly ranging and engaging moving targets, but few of us are doing that. How accurately can you aim...
Title pretty much sums it up. Both are 20" 308 rifles. Accuracy reports are indistinguishable. However the Bergara comes with a stock/chassis that, to me, looks to compete quite well with the KRG on most points. All of that at several hundred dollars cheaper + not having to tinker with it. Last...
I'm looking to make an entry into precision shooting and am debating between the Bergara B-14 HMR and a Tikka CTR dropped into a KRG Bravo chassis, both in .308. I've noticed a trend from both companies though: the "hunting" models in .308 have longer 22-24" barrels, but the "precision" models...
