What kind of reticle are u trying to get?will you be dialing or holding over? That might be the best way to decide with the budget you have. Also are you trying to keep the scope size down or just don’t need that much magnification?
CMC triggers are great. I have a flat trigger @ 3.5 lbs (I think). Had I awhile. I bought a Timney Calvin elite but it was to sensitive for me. The cmc is perfect for me when shooting my ar/creedmoor. Great for precision work. Not to heavy not to light.
I Didn’t know that. I haven’t really looked at Leupolds to buy after getting my Minox. And there are a lot of scopes that I find more appealing. I read about the tracking problems with the Mark 6 after I received mine And at the time it was the only scope of its size, weight etc. and the AMG...
I have a CA-10 (Christensen Arms AR-10) It came with a 18 inch barrel (I replaced with 22inch and there standard buffer, gas block etc. I ended up installing a SlR gas block (adjustable), a heavy buffer (can’t remember who from but it wasn’t more than $50) and I pretty sure I have tubbs flat...
I am pretty sure that it’s the large ar’s People are talking about. It looks like your talking about a AR-15 size rifle. Its the larger AR’s that are much more difficult to shoot. If it’s really important to you you can find the reasons. I had a huge problem shooting small groups that I do with...
I would listen to the 716 owners for sure. I’ve never shot one. And there is a very high probability you will end up replacing or upgrading at least a few parts.
I think it was the mark 6 that had problems tracking. Mine (I bought 2 years ago) has been great though. If it had a tree reticle that would almost make it perfect. If I got another scope for my 6.5 AR I would get the Vortex AMG. I will say that the size of the mark 5/6 3x18’s are very nice...
I think Christensen arms makes killer barrels. I have a BA tactical and a Ca-10. Both shoot killer groups and seem to be very accurate with a lot of different ammo. All mine are 6.5creedmoor. Would love to get a 300 prc or 6.5 prc mpr. Have you chronographed your bullets? All my barrels got...
I think the sig is a bad ass rifle and probably be really good. Upgrading my rifle was frustrating aNd a lot of parts I bought to upgrade didn’t really play well with the entire system. If I was going to get a new build the one thing I would for sure replace is the bolt. With the JP enhanced...
I would buy the rifle especially if you go 6.5. That way you won’t be guessing at any problems you have or may have with the rifle. Uppers/lowers don’t match up like the milspec at-15’s. Foreends come in different heights and then the gas/buffer issues you may have. It can be done and it isn’t...
That looks like a sweet grip. I have the mpa but have big hands. I did see a new Ergo vertical grip that looked pretty sweet. But doesn’t adjust and looks more for a tactical carbine??? Glad I read your post I think I found my next grip.
I’m curious also. I tried to switch a few parts around on my 6.5cm AR. And had hell of a time getting everything back to shooting good. Now it’s smooth as sewing machine. Getting my gas block, buffer spring and the buffer weight was something of a chore.
