Just found this thread while searching for the old Sniper Country we page. What prompted my search was that I was just shooting my S.C.L.E # 37 of 50 rifle made by G.A. Precision in the early years. Bought it thru SC years ago. Rifle still shoots < 1/2 moa. Lots of good info back in the day.
Contact Bobro directly as it's not listed on their web page. I bought one for my CO-X. It is much better that the stock Armasight mount and is very repeatable. They keep them in stock. Pricey but worth it. They do give a Mil/LE discount.
The lens size is 50 mm vs 38 on the XQ38, A little more magnification but losing some field of view is the trade off, The XQ series has a 384 thermal core and the XP series has a 640 core which gives you more target definition. All menus, reticle options and features are identical in the entire...
Most of the online vendors will quote you lower than msrp prices if you contact them and ask for a price. Usually they are pretty close to one another price wise.
It is the XQ50 that you are referring to. The Trail XQ series are 384 core versus the 640 core XP series. Depending on what your intended target is going to be, the XQ38 may be a better fit as it has a wider field of view than the XQ50. You give up a little in base magnification (2.1x vs 2,7x)...
I have the CO-X HD Gen 2+, The difference between it and my Gen 3 PVS-7 is like night and day. With an illuminator on high on a cloudy night I can barely see to make a 200 yd shot (which is a long way at night which I rarely do). Looking thru the PVS-7 at that range there was no issue with...
He is been busy in his shop I believe. He is selling some .22 suppressor thread on to quick attach adapters that he is manufacturing on this Facebook page. He posted on May 9. https://www.facebook.com/groups/CoolGuyGear/
I use an Armasight clip on CO-X on the rifle and for spotting I have an Armasight thermal handheld and a PVS-7. The thermal is great for picking up the the target and I use the PVS-7 to positively ID it. Then the clip on comes into play. My CO-X is only a Gen 2 but works well with a little IR...
Try a little hi temp nickel anti-seize. You can get it at an electrical supply house. We use it on hi temp light bulbs to prevent them from seizing in the socket.
Glad it worked out with a little heat. I was ready to replace the spring in mine a while back due to the bolt catch engaging every other round but it turned out to be the over gassing issue when running suppressed. Compensated for it with the slash heavy buffer and spring. Even got a new spring...
It's not the depth of the notch that is the issue. The width is a little too tight. I opened it up a hair evenly on both sides it and solved the issue.
We were talking about in a revolver where there is not a barrier in front of the bullet. The bullet will go forward and lock up the cylinder upon recoil. In a semi auto magazine, the rounds are slammed against the front of the mag when the pistol recoils and the bullet will be pushed back into...
I don't think it would function too well if I left it out as the plate is what holds the firing pin and spring in the slide. Lol...I assume you are thinking about the firing pin safety button and spring that's in the series 80 guns (which this is by the way).
I replaced the extractor on my stainless Commander and the FP stop plate was so tight that it would not slide in. With the factory extractor the stop would slide in and out with finger pressure. The slot on the new Wilson Bulletproof extractor was such a tight fit the FP stop would not go back...
