A must for the corporate sniper...

Re: A must for the corporate sniper... Naive question perhaps: How come the security checkpoints would be a problem? Are they worried you would throw them at people or....? The bullet is a 7 mm 139 grain Hornady Interbond. I think one of the new Berger bullets would look pretty cool as well...

A must for the corporate sniper...

...are of course cuff links made from your favorite bullet! I have had this idea for some time and finally got it done. It's actually my cousin who has made these by making a mold from a bullet I gave her, inserted the silver tip, added the locks, etc. Extra points to anyone who recognizes...

    Latest rifle - Sauer 205

Re: Latest rifle - Sauer 205 I've actually sold it to a friend. Or lend-lease might be a better term since I have an option to buy it back...if he'll sell it that is. :-) If I stumble apon one I'll let you know. The purpose was to fund another rifle, a Kipplauf. Just got the bug and had to...

    Latest rifle - Sauer 205

Re: Latest rifle - Sauer 205 Kind of....but less stuff during shoots enables me to focus more on judging wind and distance. This perticular session was on a range with known distances but usually we are in the terrain and have limited time to judge distance, wind and to engage the targets so...

    Latest rifle - Sauer 205

I recently switched my Sauer 200 for another (Sig) Sauer, the 205. Basically the same thing except a double stack 10 rnd magazine and a stock divided in two (visible at the bolt handle). This is what it looks like with the 20 inch 308 barrel and a Hausken silencer, I also have a 74 cm 6,5x55...

New for the Remington 700 - the Bolt Lift

Re: New for the Remington 700 - the Bolt Lift I got mine today and I have to commend you on the Apple'esque packaging. Really smart to deliver it like you do instead of just in a brown envelope, nice! My bolt was a tad to large so I had to remove some material for it to fit, but absolutely...

how to stabilize a harris bipod shooting off cemen

Re: how to stabilize a harris bipod shooting off cemen I compete in prone shooting with bipod support and got much better results from the harris (and other bipods) when I took slices of bicycle inner tube and wrapped around the feet. They are plenty sticky so you can preload on almost any...

Remington 6XC - First Remmy and first build

Re: Remington 6XC - First Remmy and first build I had to google translate goiter....but now it makes sence. :-) Shooting the rifle surpressed really makes a lot of difference. Unsurpressed, I actually think the rifle is quite unpleasant to shoot. Not that it "kicks like a mule" or anything...

Remington 6XC - First Remmy and first build

Just thought I'd share some pics and info on the 6XC build I just got finished (if they ever finish, still got some stuff to change). Rifle is an old 222 ADL that got a new bolt body from a 308, a stock from a Remington XCR Compact Tactical and a 56 cm barrel from Lothar Walther in stainless...

What to do with this Rem 700? Re barrel? PICS!

Re: What to do with this Rem 700? Re barrel? It's a swedish made 200x50 mm telescopic aluminum silencer with steel thread, 360 grams. Used it for 1000+ rounds of 6,5x55 and it's worked great so far. With a simple cardboard mirage shield on top, heat isn't an issue either.

What to do with this Rem 700? Re barrel? PICS!

Re: What to do with this Rem 700? Re barrel? I have a Remington rebarreled in 6XC. Great precision and since I use a silencer, it's almost without recoil. But, my 6,5x55's is by far my favorite rifles when it comes to shootability and performance so the 260 is probably a nice way to go...
