Re: Mosin Bolt not wanting to lock down Do you have the same issues in the issued stock? I have a 91/59 that was over inletted for the magazine. Bolt cycled fine without ammo but not with actual rounds. Built a little space beween action and magazine everything smoothed up.

Re: Build or Buy a Reloading Bench? I laminated 2 sheets of 3/4" MDF and formica - damn heavy but it stays put.Simple 2/x4 base with shelves added. Also made nice hanging cabinets for the walls but this is overkill (simply plywood is fine but I had left over materials from other project).

Re: Best scope under $800 Sightron SIII is very good glass for that price range if you can live without FFP. I have a Weaver tac also but SIII is just a little better glass wise (Weaver has lots of nice features but the glass is just a tab behind SIII).

Re: .30-06 subsonic loads?? Keep those drilled flash holes away from regular loads. You could try 8-9g Unique and a lead bullet - this is basically a gallery load (10g and 185g Lee mould gives 1.5in at 100yds in a 1903a3).

Re: Savage 10 Precision Carbine You don't need a whole new gun if you already have a Savage action. You just need a barrel. Of course I just happen to have a 20" Savage factory take off barrel (from a heavy barrel 10FP) with less than 500 rounds and the throat has been polished with the Tubbs...
