Re: Skinning knife? i use the same one that Michael Aos posted (2nd knife, blade on one side, gut hook on back side..). mine was all stainless, so i had to rubber coat the rings so they wouldnt slip when covered in blood.

Re: what's your take???? i think i am a good shot, but i wouldnt try hunting at long range until i was certain i could drop the animal where it stood.. i dont like tracking wounded deer when i hunting normally, and having to huff it 1000 yards and THEN start tracking is not on my to-do list. lol

Re: F$cking poachers! last year,i was out small game hunting and found 2 doe poached and hidden in a thick stand of briars. the poachers left trail markers in the trees to find em later.. we called it in when we got to the truck..
