Watch Out for Scammers!

I have no problems with the shell holder being finger tight, no need for spinning vice grips of death. Until I upgrade to a power trimmer, I will keep doing the trim on the Dewalt and then into a bucket for a later visit to the trim pro for chamfer/deburr/flash hole cleaning/FH uniforming...
You've got it already, I'd put it together check for function and see if it does what you want it to do. If it doesn't, then drop the coin for what you want. You really have nothing to lose with it since it's already in your inventory.
Just because I haven't seen it mentioned, how about trying some civy brass through it? Surely you have a piece of un crimped rem or win brass around. Just for test purposes. I'm newer to reloading and know little about case forming, but if it were me I'd be sacrificing a cheap piece of brass...
Make sure your gas block is lined up and hasn't shifted. Check the gas key on your bolt and make sure it hasn't come loose. I run the ST2 with midlength gas and have never once had a problem with even the lightest reloads or any factory ammo.
Yup you saw the same one I'm thinking of. Quite the setup, simple and ingenious. I'm gonna study that video some more, the guy that built that is probably some kind of engineer.
Pretty much what I'm going for Jmorris. I saw another one that a guy got a little fancy, had a case feeder activated by the arm on the motor.... I might build it to either be upgraded later or just do that too. I suppose I might as well put some time into it and make it perfect, as I really...
How about a redneck mix it up, anyone ever use a windshield wiper motor, or have any reasons why it wouldn't work? Low rpm high torque, 12v, easily available cheap. Sure I could contact Jmorris, and have it planned out for me, but this is my winter indoor project. I intend it to be fun...
Agreed, I think this is a very simple design though and could produce very precise and uniform results. Instead of variable entering/exiting flame heat, you have a quick in, set time in flame, and quick out. Viewing youtube home made annealing machines, I'm not the first to think it up and...
Seeing several good home made annealing machines built, I'm sure we have some smarter than me fellas around here. Outlines of the idea, old saw blade or aluminum round piece, on a center bearing, with about 6 posts downward near the center. Idea being a servo or motor that controlled via a an...
I have read several times that CCI 41s and CCI 450s are the same thing, just marketed differently. Both are small rifle mag primers, have same prime formula, and have the same cup thickness. FYI
25grs worked great behind a 55 vmax in one 16" 1:9 AR and the 26" 1:14 bolt action, the other 16" 1:8 AR liked 23.5 gr. didn't see any pressure in any of the rifles but work up.
Good results accuracy wise here on 2 ARs and 1 bolt gun. Don't have a chrono so can't comment on actual velocity, but book data shows respectable speed.
I use CCI 450s in my AR, partly because I read they are beneficial with ball powders and partly due to the thicker primer cup. Do I really need the thicker cup, probably not but they work just fine either way. I've had some pretty good loads, best was w748 and 53 vmax, a good one with 8208xbr...
Yea basically, optics planet has a kind of shady description. I assumed it had the die with it, because why wouldn't it? Damn thing is useless without it, but I guess I'm an idiot. I did hunt down a near impossible to find .224 collet for it, now I just need the die. What a PITA.
Didn't realize they sold just the cam part without the die, so after ordering it and hunting down a .224 collet I realize I have some nice paperweights! I can't seem to find the die part I need, does anyone know where to find one, or the part number? I also read I might be able to use a die body...
