Re: 1911 Comparison kimbers are good starters you can get a good lesbaer on the forums or gunbroker for just alittle more. a lighter gun will have more recoil and allot of people wouldnt own anything but a 70s series gun 1911s are like rabbits (better get a bigger safe)

Re: problem with detonics combatmaster 45acp you can get spring from brownells hate to ask but try shooting just righthanded (make sure your not hitting mag release under recoil) 2nd try different manufacture of mags wilson or mcormic (cant spell)

Re: 1911 slide will not lock back after last round Look at the follower in the mags that dont work compared to ones that do . with gun empty and empty mag in gun you can pull back slide and watch follower push up slide stop

Re: Sig 226 elite or X5 all around I would say it matters what your going todo with it . Had a X5 tac. as a suppressor host and changed to a 226 Blackwater with out any regrets . just target shooting + X5 ( better trigger ) for all around and carry alittle + 226

OK got a HK556 piston and thinking about getting the barrel turned down or fluted to lighten things up . do you think it will kill the accuracy ? Who would you trust to do the work ?

Switched guns for my osprey . So far everything is great . got a factory threaded sig barrel for the Blackwater and went to the range . shot 100 rds with and without can without any problems

Re: Real life comparisson 3.5 and 5 inch .45 ACP? I think some of the ammo is made for short barrel guns . ansd like most have said if it isnt comfortable you will stop carrying that gun .

Re: Which 9mm gun ? I guess its between the SIGs . If you had a blackwater would you just get a barrel ?(which make) Or would you justify getting a X5Tac ?
