Re: Newest member of the family The rail is one piece, all four rails. Biggest one piece rail setup I have ever seen for a bolt gun. Hope to get a night optic for it someday. And yes it is heavy, no wood or resin all steel and aluminum chassis/stock.

Re: Hearing/ear protection I have the Peltor Tactical 6S, behind the head set and like them very much. Work very well. I still use foam plugs and these for shooting the .50bmg. Friend has the Howard Leight Impact Sport set and he likes them. Both are a good bang for the buck!
