High amp stuff scares me. Both of these setups were in the +200A range, lower unit is sketchy chinese shit. Think the top was 575V, lower 460V. eta: lower was 480v service stepped down to 220 now that I think about it. Enclosure just had a magnetic panel for a cover.
I don't have a brand preference. Used to run 147's but nowadays I just run whatever the gun likes the best. Buy a bunch of boxes, shoot em, pick the ones that cycle and group the best. Don't overthink it.

I use an end cap from the old carbine handguards made into a gauge for the spacing. i make a witness mark with pencil for tdc on the barrel and on the edge of the gas block. line up the pencil marks, remove the gauge, tighten bolts, wipe pencil marks off.
Odd man out, get a Ruger single-six. Pop that .22wmr cylinder in once in awhile. Nothing wrong with the ruger or browning offerings everyone has recommended already.
Springfield’s webpage layout seems to hint at different variants being offered at some point or their web designer is just lazy. Handgun supply at my local shops is still very low and I’d be surprised to get one at or under msrp, so the jury is still out for me on this particular model. Waiting...
