Hello all. I wanted to post on hangfires (failure to fire or delay in round going off) I saw 2 of these on a 50 caliber rifle last weekend at the shoot I was at. The first was a delay that lasted long enough for the shooter to get up off the gun but...
Only issue is if there will be enough shoulder left on the barrel if using the larger thread pattern. Look up the thread specs on thunderbeast website and measure the od of your barrel.
Sad for all involved. I have had kids as young as 7 shoot a mac10 and m4 at the Rmfcsa machinegun shoots. I never let go of the gun. You have to maintain Control at all times. Even with older people you have to stand close ready to grab the gun as nearly everyone wants to turn around to smile at...
thanks guys. I looked it up and found what looks like a decient place. right on the beach and there is a marina on the other side of the building. I will look over the reviews tonight.
I am planning on taking the old lady and daughter somewhere in october. Any recomendations of where to stay in the clearwater area or farther south of there. Indian shores has been mentioned by a friend. It is hard to tell from the web how places compare. Some look great but the reviews say...
When I got my cannon I was told the way to get the powder charge was to pour powder over the projectile untill the powder covers it like a little pyramid. Measure it and create a charge measuring cup. My 1in cannon uses a fired 2.75 12 gauge shell of 4f powder to shoot a lead ball.
A little more info. The scope has 1/8 moa devisions on the turrets. I have not had a chance to verify the retical tracks true but I will try to do that this weekend. I will swap scopes with my Schmidt if needed to verify tracking accuracy. I did run the turrets all over the place and it seems...
Oops. I meant to copy and paste my data from jbm on the original post. The Norma ammo was something like 6.5moa at 100 and 22moa at 200 I tried varying the velocity, BC, elevation and could not get the numbers close to the actual dope of the rifle
I am entering something wrong in jbm. It gives me data more like your trajectory for the Norma ammo. It has always worked well for my 260, 308, 338. I am not sure why I am so far off for the 22
I got out and did some testing with my rem 40x this weekend. I tried out the norma tac22 ammo. It shoots really well in this rifle. I zeroed at 50 yds. shot at 100 and 200. I ran the scope up and down several times to test tracking while doing this to verify return to zero and return to same...
Thanks Chad. I will look him up if I try to build one. I went and moved the lathe and mill and checked out the rest of the equipment. The machines were built and used for broaching but were really basicly electric/hydraulic presses. he had 3 of varying sizes. 2 were just hydraulic rams to push...
Holy cow I did not think it would be that much for tooling. I will see what it looks like tonight. Looks like EDM would be the way to go for a one off either way.
