Re: best bang for the buck in 308 semi
Don't forget to check out the Rock River Arms LAR-8's. I have sold a few of them with 26" barrels and they shoot very well.

Re: ammo price jump of 11% on june 1st
I own a shop in West Tn. Winchester has jumped all prices, ammo, reloading components 10%-15%. Remington brass has increased also. Federal bulk 525rnd box .22 jumped approx $5 a box wholesale. Hornady increased their coponent bullets at the first of...
Re: "Tax-free" Internet or Local Shop
I own a small shop in West TN. The 9.25% tax does suck, but it beats a state income tax on top of a sales tax. I do understand wanting to save the sales tax difference on a big purchase.
Try owning a shop and having people come in and finger fu** all...
How critical is the scope height above the bore? I have always heard the closer the better. Let's hear some opinions or theories. Thanks for any replies.
Re: Springfield Armory Scope ratings???
The main reason I asked the question is that the Springfield Scope resembles a Target Sports that I saw. I figured that Springfield probably contracted with another vendor for them. Looks like a candidate for another home and a scope upgrade in my...
Re: Springfield Armory Scope ratings???
I have a rifle purchased on the way that included the Springfield scope. I was just wondering if they even made their own or tagged someone else's.
Guys,
Give me a rundown on the quality of a Sprinfield Arm. lighted reticle scope. Are they a quality optic? Any advice or experience with them would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance,

I have been reading posts here for awhile. I was wondering why I haven't read anything about the M77 Ruger. Does anyone have a good report on them?

Re: 40-X with stripper clip cut out?? Good or bad?
DHD
It is supposed to have the original barrel. I am looking at options. I am going to buy a Remington in .308 of some type. The price range of a new 700p is not to far from the prices of some used 40-x's I have seen. That is where the...
Re: 40-X with stripper clip cut out?? Good or bad?
I was wondering about the strength with the extra metal removed from the receiver. I had read that they are weaker than the receivers without the cutout. I found one I was considering purchasing with the cutout.
Does anyone know if the quality of the new 700's is less than the older ones. I have heard debates about the bolts especially. Are the new ones cast? If a person was going to find a donor rifle for rebarrel and action truing would there be any benefit to either.
Thanks,

I notice in some adds a reference to letter codes on Remington 700 serial number letter prefixes. Is there a difference according to the letters?
Would love more information if there is something to this.
Thanks for any replies,

Re: 700P vs. 700SPS
That was what I was wondering. I had almost come to that conclusion, but wanted someone else's opinion. I am still interested in other opinions also. Keep them coming.
Thanks,

Hi, Guys
I am new here, have been lurking for weeks.
I was wondering, besides the stock. What is the difference in a 700P vs. a 700SPS?
Thanks for any replies in advance,
