Re: Wicked Edge Sharpener FWIW, I started with a Lansky kit when I was a kid. Eventually, I got fed up with it and just used those stones free hand. Now I do most of my sharpening freehand though occasionally I use the Spyderco sharpener.

Re: Anyone use Cold Steel kitchen knives? Wusthoff or Henckels. Or Forschner. Heck, even the economy line Henckels (what you usually find at Costco) would probably be fine. I've used a set for years. Certainly good enough for an average user.
