    Rifle Scopes 20 MOA base with 50 MOA scope

    Someone told me having it bottomed out like that does put more stress on the spring in a riflescope. It's kind of like putting 500lbs in the bed of your truck and leaving it there. It won't cause any problems right away, but could potentially lead to some down the road. Just food for thought.

    Few years ago a friend of mine who lives on a farm had a really old/sick cat he wanted me to put down. Told me to do it while his daughter was away and to bury it deep enough so the coyotes wouldn't dig it up. The 30-06 caused the cat to do a triple backflip... never felt a thing.

    I gave up on the butler creeks after breaking yet another set. Got a set of the vortex with my last scope purchase and they're still running strong. They flip back farther than the BC caps, and they do seem to be more durable.

    Rifle Scopes Nikon with spot on vs. Swfa

    Strelok on android/iphone does the same thing (for less $ I believe) but with more companies/reticles than just Nikon. I use Strelok for my Vortex Viper HS 2.5-10x44 BDC and it seems to work pretty well. They have the vortex BDC on there to choose from.

    As stated by Scott@Vortex in another thread, it sounds like a June/July release date on the Gen II is more realistic.
