Sightmark Wraith has excellent reviews around $500. Pulsar digital nightvision unit is around 1200. It gets the job done for shooting hogs.Thermal is the best, but it cost thousands too.
My Thunderbeast 30P1 can is rated for 300 WM with a barrel length of minimum 24". I believe my SWR 30 cal SpecWar is the same. You would have to run a 338 can for a short barrel 300 WM
You will not be disappointed with the pre BTR Cronus. I have both the pre BTR and the BTR. I like the retical better the the 1st gen. Its on another level cimpared to my Burris and Vortex PST scopes.
Got the Reap back from Trijicon. The said they updated the firmware and it fixed the issue. Image appears clear like it was when I first got the thermal. Approximately a 30 day turn around time and they paid shipping both ways. Glad they took care of the issue A+ on customer service in my book.
I have a Reap-IR. The picture quality was amazing I looked through several different thermals before I purchases the Reap. Then after a few months the image became blurry and I was unable to distinguish animals at 50 yards. It was like the Reap would not focus any more. Had to send it back for...
Had oil spots on the inside glass on my 4-16x50 PST they sent me a prepaid envelope and had it back within 7 days. That's pretty amazing in my book. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Being a LEO in TX. I can vouch that you need to carry a copy of your form 4 and to be safe something with your LLC or Trust if you went that route. 1/2 to 3/4 of LEOs have never seen a Form 4 either, but I can almost guarantee you if you don't have anything your more than likely your going to...
Running a 30P1 on my 700 in 308. It's quiet with minimal POI shift. Just got my SWR SpecWar 7.62 out of jail but have not had a chance to compare. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I run my suppressor on my 18" mega Maten all day. It is heavy if your trying to free hand it, but most people don't stand and shoot precision shots at 800 yards like this. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Glass is clearer than my 4-16x50 PST, reticle is thicker, turrents are not as tactile/ audible. Scope is a little larger and thicker. Zero stop is better as is the illumination. Scope feels durable but only time will tell. I would purchase it over a PST for sure. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Only scope I can compare it to is my PST 4-16X50 SFP. Scope is XTRII 4-20. Feels very robust, durable, and slightly heavier than the PST. Slightly longer also. I compared the glass for a few minutes side by side on 16 power about a hour before sundown. The XTR is clearer to my eyes. The PST...
