Glutton for punishment?? I actually have one of their older 4-14s that's been solid, and I've always been impressed with the glass. Currently, I'm looking at one of the Patriot 9-36x's, and seems to be a somewhat decent deal for $1800 NIB.

I know IOR Valdada scopes have been hit or miss in the past, how are the current options? How are the Recon and Patriots, at least compared with other optics in a similar price range? Has customer service improved?

Anyone shooting IMR4895, and how do you like it compared with H4895? I have a chance to pick up 6lbs for around $15/lb, and plan on loading behind 168s in my .308 and 75-77gr bullets in my .223. I have had good success with H4895, but haven't tried...

I *really* want to try some in 7mm-08 with heavier bullets, the Hodgdon site gives some impressive numbers.

I picked a few hundred, going to try them in Lapua brass with H100V, 4000MR, and Ramshot Hunter.

2600 is impressive, is it hard on brass??

Mine is an 8.7 twist....what velocity are you getting with RL19?

I know these bullets are likely too heavy due to the limited case capacity, but would the Nosler RDF 185's be worth trying in a 26" 7mm-08? Hodgdon's data stops with 175s, so reloading data is very limited...any chance H-100v would get MV to 2500fps out of an AICS magazine?

The last two Butler Creek caps I broke were replaced free of charge....although it did take over a month to get the replacements.

I'm not sure I agree with "much less recoil". I've never owned a .280 AI, but I have shot a lot of standard .280 and .30-06, and there isn't a whole lot of difference in factory loads until you get to the 180-220gr bullets in the '06...and even then it can be a little subjective. Hornady Light...

Just to be curious, why not? I just ordered my second FDN, a 5-25, which will be my 5th USO overall (still have an SN3 3.2-17x and ST10). The only issue I've ever had with a US Optics was a slight defect in a reticle almost 10yrs ago (purely cosmetic), which they immediately corrected. My SN3...

As an option, you can also use 742/7400 semi-auto mags as well...just be aware they will lock back the action after the last round. This will give you a cheaper option, as 742/7400 mags are more plentiful, cheaper, and easier to find.
