I use foaming bore cleaner followed by a boresnake whenever I remember to do it.

My turn for an annoying "which action" thread

LMAO at the thought that the Origin is cast. Reference the following link, via a simple google search: https://bighornarms.com/faq/ And I quote: "TL3's are stainless steel receivers with an integrated recoil lug while Origin's are chromoly receivers with a non-integrated, pinned recoil lug. I am very happy with Aaron Roberts of Robert Precision Rifles. Great guy too. You have a lot of good options.

    ORIGIN Orders

Lord have mercy, some of y'all make this complicated. I have handled two other Origins, other than my own, plus my two other Bighorn actions, and ZERO have required any kind of timing. Put a TriggerTech, Jewel, Timney, etc...in it and get to work.

Training Courses Training classes near Houston

I live near Houston, and we are lucky to have some of the best precision rifle trainers in our back yard. Very local is Aaron Roberts, who is one of the best instructors and shooters that I know, plus he can build you one hell of an accurate and reliable rifle. His ginsmithing is the best that...

    AICS 223 mags?????

I have a bunch of genuine AICS 223 mags, and they are garbage. Bulging, barely fit in bottom metal, spreading feed lip pieces of absolute garbage. Get the Accurate mags, and mill out the front lip for more room. Or buy the MDT's.

    ORIGIN Orders

I've never had a problem with any magazine (AICS or otherwise) dropping free or fitting in any XLR product.

    ORIGIN Orders

I run a 6br/origin/XLR Envy combo and three 10 round AICS mags with the TS Customs/Primal rights spacer kit. Feeds perfectly every time.

    ORIGIN Orders

Hard to beat TriggerTech, and I've had most every one on the market. I just swapped the 510 on my Origin for a Triggertech, it's money.

WTS KRG Bravo 700 Long Action/2 Accurate LA mags

All - I would like to sell my KRG Bravo stock, inlet for a 700 Long Action. The stock has been bolted onto a Bighorn TL-3. Full disclosure, the Bighron/Bravo/CIP length mag system didn't work flawlessly, but that's likely due to the action/stock interface. The stock ahs been to the range once...

    Need Kid Size Chassis Help

I built my son's 6x45 with an XLR Element, and it's had a tremendous amount of adjustment for him as he's grown. It was a good buy, and I'd recommend it for anyone. Plus the XLR crew is always great to work with.

    Barrel Cleaning Recommendations

I just shoot gunslick foaming bore cleaner in the barrel when I start to see accuracy drop off. I let it sit for an hour or two, and then I run a boresnake through the bore 3-4 times and call it good. Way easier, no voo doo, and I just buy a new one when I get a new barrel. I'm too lazy for the...

    ORIGIN Orders

As of today, I have approximately 300 rounds through my Bighorn Origin/6br build. For reference I have two other Bighorn Actions: a TL-3 in 300 WM, and my son's lefty SR-3 in 6x45. All built by Aaron Roberts, all tack drivers. The Bighorn Origin is a pleasure to shoot. They hit a homerun here...

    6x45 dies

I use redding dies for my son's 6x45, and have been very pleased with the results. I run a Co-Ax press, so I buy the forster lock rings. I use Hornady dies for 2 other calibers, and they are just fine. buy with confidence.

    22 Cal ELD-M bullets

I wanted to bump this thread with a tip of the hat to Padom. I have been driving pointed 82 berger's via 8208 for a long time, but have plans to shoot a few PRS matches in the "tactical division" which has a speed and bullet weight limit...which is silly to me...of 77 grains and 3000fps. Knowing...
