Bingo. It was either the SAUMs or WSMs that were large shank, but I can't remember which. Small shanks are significantly easier to get takeoff and prefit barrels for. You can fit a (specific model CDI) Savage short action DBM on a long action, but you can't fit a long action DBM on a short...- Morale_Gear

Enlisting in the military???
I don't see the parallel between enlisting in the military and joining oathkeepers. Oathkeepers is not a paying job. Oathkeepers will not teach me a trade. I can't retire from Oathkeepers. I'm a 29 year old E-7 and for my past three units have been the youngest senior guy there. I currently have a 38 year old E-5 working for me and a couple other E-6s in their early to mid 30s. A real budget R700 build
wrap a deepwell socket or large wooden dowell in sandpaper and you can open up the barrel channel to whatever size you need for a heavier barrel to fit.- Morale_Gear

Crimped 308 primers
When I first started reloading I took a large diameter drill bit in a press at work, wrapped it with electrical tape to get a good snug fit on the Lee chamfer tool and would leave the bit on while I chamfered the crimp off. I must've done a couple thousand pieces of our range 556 brass that way...- Morale_Gear

Are you saying that you are going to attempt to form 223AI brass in the stock 223 barrel? If so, you are just going to end up with fireformed 223 brass. You can't fireform AI brass in a regular chamber. Your best bet is to wait for the barrel to come in and form the AI brass in the actual...- Morale_Gear
