I think the preferred way to disassemble is to remove the thumb safety, take everything down from there, and then r&r the msh, this way there is no spring pressure while trying to drive the msh pin through the frame. It's been a few years for me though, so I could be a little foggy on this...

Thanks JSTARSZ. I just picked 2 boxes of Black Hills .308 Match Ammo, one box of 168gr. and the other 175gr. just to see what the rifle likes better. I've read mixed reviews of the BH, but we will see. No FGMM available. Not cheap either btw, 35.00/20 of the 168 and 38.00/20 of the 175's.

I clean after every range trip. 60 or so rounds. Probably over doing it it seems. While on the subject, I've been using Hoppes #9 and brass brushes forever, however I've seen some guys recommend nylon. Any thoughts?

I was thinking I could mount a rail, then use the monopod beneath the stock in the flat spot located where the sling stud is.... Thinking it might orient my muzzle a little low though, sometimes I just jam a sandbag beneath it. Any thoughts? Thanks

The B&C is hard to beat for under 500.00 with all the adjustability you could need. Not saying they are better than the others like Manners and McMillan, but I couldn't justify a 600.00 action in a stock running upwards of 1k or more. Just my .02 but I'm new to this game and couldn't afford...

Since it's not considered an AW a pistol grip as well as muzzle device are gtg. I had the same? before ordering my Rem 700 AAC-SD.
