First off I would like to thank the 30 member range crew we had this year to help pull off another great Nor Cal Tactical Bolt Rifle Challenge. Shawn, Sam, and Jason kept things flowing smoothly and safely on the steel range. This year we had 12 spotters on line to ensure we catch every hit...
See the schedule and contact information here http://www.tacfire.com/public_schedule%202009.htm This is a good, solid basic program that will give you a strong foundation in precision marksmanship fundamentals. If you are interested, contact them as soon as possible as I know that they are...
Here is a couple pics of a .50 cal projectile that skipped into our 1100yd steel target. It couldn't of hit any flatter. A direct hit won't even move any material, but this particular hit left an impression. Then the hunt was on for lost pill. I found the jacket close at the target, and then...
What is the going rate for .50 cal brass? The reason I ask is that I found someone that has been taking it to the recycler instead of reloading it... Thanks, Jack

I will be buying a can for a H&K USP 45 Tactical and I'm considering buying or building an AR platform that could use the same suppressor. I would love to build an AR that fired a 45 cal 300 grain or even heavier bullet out of a AR-15 sized lower.( It would be lighter than carrying my...
I have a friend wanting to give me couple hundred spent .50 cases. They have crimped primers, and I have no experience with such. Will it be a royal pain in the arse to straighten up these primer pockets? At almost $2 a case .50 brass, I'm willing to put some work into it...
Just wondering if anybody on here has tried or is using this bullet. Looking for an alternate dual purpose load (hunting/target) like the 178 gr. A-Max I'm using.

I know some people who own 3-4 rifles in .308 or another popular chambering. I always ask myself; if you own 1 accurate rifle in a chambering, what the point of buying more in the same chambering? I could understand staying with the same caliber for interchangability of reloading components...
Any ideas on the amount of drop for a .30 cal bullet with BC of .450 traveling at 2600fps? Specifically, what will the drop be (with a 100 yard center) at 200 and 300 yards? Also, will the bullet remain supersonic at 1k yards? Thanks!
