Recently purchased a 700 pss in 300 wm. Took it out for its maiden voyage. Was running 168 gr SMK with IMR 4350 pushing out about 3075 fps or so. It was grouping bout .75 at 200 yds.

Got some 208 amax and some 210 Bergers. What should I expect? Whats all the hipe about the heaviler bullets? What types of groups are you guys gettin at say 200 and 300 yrds with the 208's and 210's?

The 208/210's aren't going to be anymore or less accurate for 300-400yd shooting. Like MM siad, go out on a windy day and shoot the 208/210's and see the difference over the 168's. I wouldn't even bother shooting a 300 WM at less than 500yd except for load development, just use a 308 or similar cartridge for under 500.

Nothing 208's suck and just cause I'm a nice guy I'll take them off your hands (for a discount of course)

Use it, learn it, shoot it. One of those if you have to ask you might not need it things. </div></div>

It is a pretty neat calculator. Definately seems to be a more accurate than the calculator on Berger's site.

You'll see the difference 600 to 800 yards and out.
