So, I’m a bit confused @Lowlight

I paid for a year membership upfront. Have been for years. I just noticed training videos on the home page.

Let’s take this one, for $99:

I believe it used to be included in the $20/mo or $200/yr plans. I don’t see it in the training section anymore. Perhaps I have just missed it.

It’s a webinar not a training video, it’s a Live vs a static video

It’s different, I put out a ton for free, I get notes cuz everything I put out is public, we have subscribers videos that you can access, and I opened my 160 online videos, so this is testing doing classes online vs in person hence the charge.

It’s my class live … I am doing Friday night instructional then Saturday morning Live demo to bring shooting and instructional stuff to the site in a new way.

You can’t go live on any social media platform with a gun, I can here so we are testing the process. It’s still my class and it’s still takes a lot to bring to you.

In the future I will do some for subscribers but we are testing this so others can use it too. Live with a firearm is not easy, you guys don’t watch the Hide TV a lot but Friday I went live like 6x working out the bugs. It’s a lot. We discuss it constantly, how to bring content to you.

I don’t strong arm you guy, it’s all Practical pricing. Even the GB is $5 going to $10 with the wind, that is cheap. It’s better than anything out there to get up and shooting to 1k.

Cool, I just didn’t know what was going on…you’re awesome man, and you put up with a lot! No accusations coming from me, text is hard to see what’s underneath it, I get it.

Anyway, good to know the written and pre-recorded video will still be accessible to supporters. I have dipped in and out of those a lot throughout the years.

What do you think about putting the word Live in front of the titles of the new front page live training stuff? Like:

Live: Sniper's Hide Training Fundamentals - Part 1

or

Live with QA: Sniper's Hide Training Fundamentals - Part 1

…or whatever words you think best describe the experience? Maybe add a short description on the training page itself. I’m on mobile iOS Safari, so if that description is there, I don’t see it.

Might draw more people in if users know it’s live.

Btw on the homepage, belatedly I did see a “Live & Upcoming Events” header above the training video, but I read that as there are Live events upcoming, and there are just regular pre-recorded upcoming events that will be uploaded later.

Retarded take? Maybe, but as you know, users miss a lot and sometimes you have to hit them over the head by putting it in the event headline. That “Live & Upcoming” bit gets shed as one navigates deeper into your site so users lose context.

Anyway, I might join one of your live events. Sounds like an interesting idea and fun!

I like the idea to put Live up front.

I am terrible at doing fancy Thumbnails on the videos like the cool kids, and better titling needs to happen

The shift in how we absorb content has me behind the curve with the attention getters today as the culture shifted. The content is fine in most cases, I just miss the mark on the little things they do today
