80,000 PSI capable actions for Sig Fury

Hey Everyone,

As promised I finished building my 22 Vengeance (22VG for short) off the sig 277 Fury.
She is everything I wanted and prayed for. šŸ˜†
I worked up a backyard load of 50 grains of VV N165 with 90 grain Hornady A-tips.
They are cruising out the muzzle at a mind-boggling 3550+fps.
Thats over 2500 ft lbs that I was aiming this build for. Worlds first 2500 ft lb 22 rifle. Ridiculously unnecessary level of speed.
No sticky bolt, no pressure signs, no loss of primer seat...no problems at all yet. Multiple firings and reloadings on a single case. Cant wait to test on hogs and coyotes this weekend for Father's day. Also will head to 600 yard range and test ballistic performance and post again.

sounds like a modern take on the .220 Swift, just with much heavier bullets and better powders. I wonder if it's going to be as hard on barrels as the swift was/is?

I'd love to see what velocity you get on a lightweight barnes varmint grenade (sintered bullets, so they can't spin themselves apart)

overall looks like a fun time!

It pretty much is with the only addition being a alloy base that doesnt lose primer fit even at 80ksi.

I have some 60somthing grain cutting edge monos I can run through it and get back with you. I worry, like you said, with the 6.5twist i will spin apart a regular 55 grain hornady vmax or sierra blitz. I think I could hit over 4500fps easy.
