Another Picture Thread - All Other Semi-Autos

Just picked this up on friday. Had a lot of fun smacking the 400 meter gong with it, almost too easy even using the cheapest ammo we had in stock at the store.

Beltfed Fridays!

Just picked up the M240 today. My M249 was feeling lonely and neglected. Downside is only 7.62 linked ammo I have is “pricey” M80A1, which is going for like $10/round on GB. Crazy.

Holy super baller batman! You sir are a gentleman and a scholar! And absolutely welcome any time to come have some fun on my 2500 acre pine plantation!

Have you run the A1 in a large frame AR, SCAR 17 or 20, etc good-shooting .308?
If so, what kinda groups can you expect out of it? Whats the ballistics comparable to(BC, MV, ES/SD)??

To our hide brethren Galil Ace owners: have any of yall ever ran any hand loads/match grade ammo through your Galil Ace? Results??

I guess there are 5 photoes in the thread of Chinese NDM sister-clones of SVD ( including the newly acquired one, presented in the post above - congratulations ) but none of the original.
So let's show one :
SWD set + optics (4).jpg

SVD 1973, 320mm barrel twist, PSO-1 matched to the rifle.

Plus : Belomo POSP 4-12x42, NPZ 3-9x24, PS-07 and night vision scope 1PN-51Kazuar.
6H4 bayonet - it seems that for early 70s rifle there should be a 6H3 variant.
Modern DSR Immortal Steel silencer.
It took me few years to put it all together :)

Have you shot it yet? I've always felt like the AK is "the right kind" of rifle for PSA to make.
Just picked it up today. The plan is to send it off to RD and have them do some stuff to it first. I’ll be shooting it suppressed with LC ammo. They will set it up as a soft shooter, instead of being over gassed. I’ll get it back in a couple of months and then shoot it.

Now that they can be had in 5.56, I've been thinking about picking one up. Also because they are getting a lot more love from the after-market, as well.

Interesting. What's the barrel details on the PSG8?

Picked up a DSA 50.63 clone (one of 60 being furnished with aluminum lower) for my own use

. Actually weighs just 8.6 LB, as advertised. A borescope examination of the chrome lined barrel revealed a bright & smooth chamber with a very tidy throat, plus clean rifling to the muzzle and a well done crown. I took a chance and added DSA's $150 trigger job - and I'm glad I did.

How is their current QC with these?

The old Mini-14 that does shoot, now. It is a 181 early, SS, boat gun, shotgun style group shooter conversion to a sub 1/2" group shooter. Mods, a compleate dissembly, barrel cut and recrowned on my lathe, gas block from ASI, piston and plugs sized and replaced, actuator rod polished and fitted, 8" barrel shroud, trigger job, glass bedded, stock butt pad to extend the LOP. Witichita center mounted scope base. It is a, simply because I can, Mini. It has a couple of wild hogs DRT to its credit.
The Mini is exactly like the M-14, if the round goes into the chamber, it will fire, so with accuracy it becomes a very reliable rifle.
