The SIG 553 R P, the "Czar of AK's", in 7.62x39:

Yes, it's a "pistol". 100 total imported into the U.S.
@MSTN

That is such a great gun. Maybe the perfect gun. Like the P210 to a pistol aficionado, the 553 is one of my grail guns! I hope to add one to my collection one day. I have a few US SIG guns that work well. Here's one that is 553 inspired, a Gen2 556R.

SIG SAUER USA has been on it and I've been trying to keep up. I am not doing to good at keeping up.

My SIG's have been good to me.

My son picked this up when he was 18. It came with nine 30 rd HK mags and one 20 rd HK mag. It only had 30 rds. fired through it.

@SmithM21 James Williamson mentioned something about the MP5/10 having "hi" and "lo" pressure bolt head/locking pieces..? Do you know anything about this?
Is the MP5/10 + "hi" pressure locking piece good-2-go with full-house 10mm loads?

SICK
Care to elaborate on what made you choose that can specifically?
The Osprey 45 ? Other than a 22, it's my only pistol can, so it ( along with a hand full of pistons), goes on whatever I'm shooting that day. I'm trying to find a Resilient RS9 or a Ca$h 9 in stock to dedicate to my PCCs

Change the display of your flag….

Blue field always on the left.

Otherwise….

Carry on!

I know, but not an option. It's one-sided and that's where the grommets are.

It was a gift from a buddy when I opened my own business. I couldn't not fly it.

How do you like the Steiner? I’ve heard mixed reviews on the eyebox in the higher end of the magnification. I think I could put up with that based off of how good they look on scars lol

I’ve been really impressed with it. I went back and forth for a long time trying to figure out what scope to get for the 20S. Forgiving eye box was a high priority and what knocked the NX8 4-32 off the list. I didn’t want to pay up for a S&B 5-20 ultra short and the left side CH friendly mount options for the 35mm MK5 are extremely limited so I decided on the 4-16 ATACR but then a killer deal on this Steiner showed up. With the limited research I did it seemed like most of the complaints people had were about the T5-series(the new T6 like seems to have addressed those problems and look like great scopes) and the M5-series was well received. Pricing is all over the map but this contract over run was less than a used ATACR and I had enough money leftover for a mount, so I went for it.

I’ve only got a few hundred rounds behind it but most of that was shot at 15x. The eye box is good, same wit the eye relief and the clarity is fantastic. I’d prefer low profile turrets but the falling ring second revolution elevation dial is pretty slick and probably the most German thing I’ve ever seen.

I like it so much even added its little brother to an AR.

Beltfed Fridays!

Just picked up the M240 today. My M249 was feeling lonely and neglected. Downside is only 7.62 linked ammo I have is “pricey” M80A1, which is going for like $10/round on GB. Crazy.

Yeah, I have the same standard buttstock you have, but there is an 240 upgrade kit that has the Lima dimpled barrel (see photo), a replacement front rail, a cheesy Magpul bipod, and the QD replacement buttstock that is basically a buffer tube and Magpul CTR stock, so you should be able to put any standard AR buttstock on it.

Not sure what to think about the dimpled barrel...

I get the whole surface area = cooling thing, but there's also something to be said for mass as a heat sink... no?

Dood! It saves like 2.87 ounces on a 43.76-pound gun!
